Axe broke today :(
its a small 14 inch handle
what would be the best option to fix this?
I was hoping to make the handle much bigger because 14 inches just isnt enough for what i do
like 20 - 24 inches

Buy a new handle.

or

Find an ash or hickory tree, cut off a branch, carve your own handle.

Just use it as a tomahawk

Make a new one. It's pretty easy. You can use almost any hardwood. Fruit woods are extremely hard, but prone to splitting and checking. American Hornbeam/Hornbeam is the absolute best for handles if you can find a tree in your area. Oak and hickory are pretty good. Maple is also a hardwood and will work well, but the others are better.

Buy a new one from Tom Nook, they're only like 500 bells.

DO NOT carve your new haft from green (live) wood.

The wood must be cured. Otherwise, as it looses moisture and shrinks, your head will fall off and the handle can warp.

You're better off buying a new handle online. Look on Amazon, just make sure you get the right type to fit the socket.

You're a moron. It's broken. Do you not get that?

That's NOT a tomahawk head. It's a hand-axe. A tomahawk has a larger, ovoid socket that allows a tapered haft to slide through from the top. Same way a pick-axe does.

This does not that have that kind of socket, otherwise fixing it would be easy-peasy.

Seriously, you want the yellow plastic handle. The empty space is filled in with epoxy. But honestly a replacement handle will probably cost as much as a new axe.

Broken shovel handles work pretty good for this if you're desperate though.
