My local grocery store asked me to get rid of their old carts. Any ideas what I can do with them?

What is your relationship to the grocery store or to the people there, where they'd single you out and ask you to take junk off their hands?

If there are car rims round or steel sheet you can make barbecues with the grids.

No, I don't think it's a stupid question.
I'm genuinely curious.
I can't think of any situation in my life where a grocery store would ask me to take their junk from them.

And I can't really imagine them asking anyone I know.
Unless OP is a junk hauler.
But what kind of junk hauler sees grocery carts as anything more than scrap?
What kind of junk hauler thinks about what he can "do with" the junk?

I know them. They ask me if I want it and if I'll take it. If I don't take it then they have to pay for a dumpster haul. They had a new order of carts in and they're filtering out the old carts.

They have a black-grey paint on them. Not sure if they're worth taking to the scrap yard. Gonna call them in the morning and ask them.
