Whats the easiest way to take advantage of all the ends and nubs from my wood projects? I tried google but all the suggestions invole gluing all the bits together to try to make something out of them and Im not about to invest all that time and energy.
So far my ideas are:
-burn it as fuel for a firepit
-burn it to heat water for something?

I cant use it to cook food cause a lot of it has paint/chemical treatments.
I dont want to try and sell ot on facebook/craigslist (as my wife suggested) cause I feel like its too much hassle for whatever pittance people would be willimg to pay for it, and Im not going to give it away for free.
Lets assume I have all the basic tools, but nothing special like a wood chipper.

No, but your mom showed interest in having it done to her so I might try and see how many pieces I can get rid of that way.

Just do what everyone else does: wait till you need a small piece of wood for some future project and dig through your box of scraps for a piece of the right size instead of cutting a new one

Wait, what kind of shitty wood are you using for your wood projects?

>> No.2736712

Cut them into equally dimensioned pieces for blocks for a kid to build with. Sand and chamfer all corners.

If it has paint you can run it through a planer or hand plane it off. I sometimes make jengas like other anon suggested, or building blocks for kids, or toy cars if it’s premium wood, sometimes small picture frames, photo stands, candle holders. Or blocks to put drills in. Or shit like in picture for when someone brings a kid over. Also knobs/handles for cabinets, wedges, bow ties, or corner supports for storage boxes. Or coasters.

Also one day I will drill that oil stain out with a hole saw and put a piece of scrap wood in place

This. You keep it in a box until you need a shim or a sacrificial piece to avoid tearout, or need to test a new router bit or stain or something.

Ok, thanks for clarifying.
Do me a favor and make at least one of them with some goofy image, I'm tired of seeing all of them be so serious.

>No, I use my paw print like this see. I got a per-signed contact right here. How about you sign it as well so we can compare signatures?

No, I've looked for a hanko a few times but they are always sold out of my name. Given it's a less common name so they don't restock it often, yet still common enough to have a empty slot on the store self the few times I go to the Asian markets. As a kid I thought wax seals were cool, but seal wax or otherwise never came up. So I never actually got one, but the kid in me kind of thought if your going to stamp a seal you can at least make it more interesting and fun and in English.

I saw a video about high end seals awhile ago were they make them out of tungsten, they are calibrated so the weight of the seal is the idea stamping pressure and machine it so the spacing of the face has idea surface tension for just the right amount of ink. The result is a seal that is near indestructible and stamps perfectly every time the moment you let it go, also cost a lot of money and are typically sold as family seals to be passed down for generations. Over all I hear hanko is becoming less popular, but part of me still likes the idea despite the logistical issues.
