Why did you post an image of a torsion spring garage door setup for this? They are much, much safer than traditional extension springs.

I repair commercial overhead doors and change springs for work, and have not died yet.
Here is a spooky temporary fix for you

You can replace those with a counterweight system that will last longer and is generally less dangerous and applies a linear counter-force.

They’re not all that way because, otherwise, you wouldn’t need the spring replacement subscription service.

how often do your garage door springs need replacing?

Ehh, I had one let go right in my face due to dumb boomer DIYing, and I’m still here shitposting. It was loud when it popped though.

Nah, that’s Bauer. It’s either dumb boomers who go to Harbor Freight and think “Oh this is good enough and affordable!” or straight up crackheads. The only time I have ever seen Bauer tools doing actual paid work was by basketball americans who are waiting for their lunch break so they can hit the pipe.

Also a few years back somebody attempted to tunnel underground and into a bank, they found the tunnel when a truck was driving past and fell through the asphalt. They didn’t find the culprit, but they did find a Bauer rotary hammer.

sounds right, we had a semi truck door break at work so we picked it up with a forklift and put vice grips on the rails so it would stay open.

The only time I've seen Ridgid tools doing actual paid work is... zero. Zero times have I seen anyone on a job site using Ridgid power tools.

the spring may be linear, but the linkage sure as fuck is not
