Art is about spirit. And I think this board is one the not many boards about art and creativity, so why make our logo look like a 5th grader did it that was assigned a collage project. I like op's logo, but just find a better way to add the wrench, swiss army knive, screwdriver, etc. Like make the back more of a wall with hangers on it to hang the tools. Also keeping the art style throughout the objects would be nice. Instead of half cartoony and the others real looking. If OP gave me the shield, wood, and font part in .psd I'd be glad to take a whack at it.

The diy needs to be just slightly off, so as not to be absolutely perfect, because in all honesty, we are not perfect, but damn close.

Here added the chainlink, chain mail was kinda lame. Also "the ARTISAN révolution" is referring to us as artisans (craftsmans, you know) just kinda made it up though it was less cheesy than "can we fix it?" considering that was the only suggestion I got.

I removed the fence. But chainmail looks literally retarded haha. I've tried it. It's too patterny for this design. I mean I could put it where the fence used to be and it might look alright. Which would be best?

I would flip the hammer through X axis s that it points toward the middle as well. That way, the bulb light, the gears, the spray and the hammer are all pointing to middle.
I'd also try reversing the colors between hammer/light and gears/spray so that the spray from the Spray can looks better and gives that better motion of all meeting in middle.

That's all if you want to keep these symbols in the first place, which I wouldn't.
