Myself, if I came into a bunch of money I would consider a three container unit cut into a hillside as a workshop on a larger property, laid out in a U kind of like this pic but with a third container as the back wall, with the ground level to the top of the containers. The open section would also have a glass garage door with optional reinforcement in the floor to handle a vehicle lift.
This setup makes some sense because the containers offer a way to compartmentalize sections for individual climate control for precision machining and noise damping.

Sadly I don't have the pictures anymore, but I used to live in this cottage sort of house behind my grandparent's and it had a carpeted bathroom. It was mega filthy and I ripped it up at some point and just used the concrete underneath. Why someone chose to carpet a fucking bathroom I will never understand. Some of the tiles in the kitchen came up and the ceiling was kind of falling. Oh and the upper floor in the living room was that shit vinyl flooring and underneath that was yellow wood. That place was a fucking mess.
