There's this youtuber named bushradical that goes through building cabins step by step. He has multiple long videos building entire cabins from bare ground and showing every part and explaining it. It's more made to be a relaxing thing to watch, but nevertheless it does teach how to build a cabin, and cheaply at that. What he builds does seem to lack some functionality, like there is no water, there is no electricity, there is no aspect of plumbing at all, it is fundamentally an insulated and aesthetically pleasing wooden box. I guess you would need to build some outhouse somewhere. Either way I'm not saying his videos are the right answer, but they're an answer.

Books are repositories of knowledge. In order to make use of them, the reader needs to posses both skills and concepts, called "ideas."
The most basic skill is, of course, literacy. And in the language of the book. But domain literacy is also necessary. Vocabulary. The ability to read a diagram or specification. Etc.
Ideas are the other part of this. They're the blocks in your head which the book guides together into knowledge. If the idea is missing, the book is ineffective at building knowledge.
E.g. if a cookbook is describing a recipe and step 3 is "prepare a roux," the average reader will be baffled. A better reader will know what a roux is, but still may have no idea how to make one. An experienced reader won't even stumble and provably appreciate the efficiency of the language.
Books about trades and crafts are often written at this "roux" level, wherein they are craftsmen sharing knowledge with other craftsmen through the ages. Picking up such a book as a layman may have you rue the day you did so.
So the traditional way to get the layman to journeyman level knowledge has been to share the experience itself to create the ideas, i.e. the process of apprenticeship. You work under a master to form ideas and gain knowledge by seeing and doing.
Today, you are unlikely to apprentice yourself to a master carpenter. But you *can* gain form ideas by observing a recording of one. That is the true marvel of multimedia: the ability to capture an experience and not just knowledge.
So back to you. You read a book. But would it occur to you that framing on the ground and lifting is easier and more accurate? But only to a point, of course, whence lifting the frame into place is too heavy and requires a machine -- which may introduce a torsion, depending on your rope point. Nails or screws? Are there better fasteners for rafters to fascia and ridge? "Cut and install collar beams."

Where can I find similar sources like this

I ordered pic rel off amazon a week ago. It was a pretty interesting read and teaches you how to build a yurt in 3 different styles (traditional ger, curved roof/afghani, and a 'weekend yurt' that can be build in 3 days, but is 9feet in diameter so is too small to heat without fire hazard.
I'd recommend it. Hardest part is just sourcing the wood and the canvas. The book estimates it will take someone around 110-115 hrs to make a traditional ger style yurt for the first time. The whole thing can likely be built for under 2k though and is very livable as a permanent structure and easy to upkeep.
