You should probably ask your dad to let you go outside. Civilization is made possible by air tools.
Real factories, machine and mechanic shops use air tools because the buildings are piped with air, even CNCs need an air supply. Air tools are usually the best thing you can use for many applications, and some of them made in the 1940s are still in use. They’re not sitting in a landfill after the 3rd “battery system” change.
You can’t even get some of the tools factories use in any other power source other than air.

I can understand the perspective of the uneducated home-gamer hipster who thinks his red and black ribbed, overmoulded, vibrating “impact” driver makes him a man now though. But it’s not true.

However, that thing, itself, was assembled by air tools. The injection molds were ground to final by air powered die grinders.

I sold air tools to industrial companies for many years. All of your big industrial hand tools are air. Grinders, rammers, riveting, floor bosses, all of the heavy maintenance tools 1" and up impact wrenches. ect. These tools don't overheat or quit in dirty environments. Electrocution is eliminated. They are repairable. Energy, oil, foundry, heavy equipment, construction, they are very common. Google 'Atlas Copco' they are a major brand. The stuff you know is what we call "throw away" tools and they have their place but not in industry.
