Thanks! I made it as a gift to my sister and I also made the seal (right) as a gift to a guy who likes seals a lot and the bunny (left) as a gift to a guy who had a really dark grey french lop bunny friend and this will hopefully cheer him up a bit!

Also the bunny is already a few weeks old so it's not as good as the newer ones because I'm still a noob but getting better with practice! Next up either a new rat, an opossum or a bee idk which one yet but I already made a pink tail for some mammal

I think it's pretty toxic to assume anything about my body just because I like crocheting cute animals so how about no?? It may shock you but hobbies can be done by anyone and I think people would be a lot happier if hobbies were less gendered. Just because I like crocheting stuff I don't have to be female and I don't have to be a guy because I like playing games lol anyone can do those things ANYONE, you, me! My job is cool because it's like truly neutral. I look after kids and play vidya with them which is like "feminine" stuff combined with "masculine" stuff and I have both male and female colleagues and the kids I have in my groups are not just boys but there are also girls so this thing shows how idiotic it is to think about stuff in some absolute binary thing instead of pretty neutral things that culture has assigned some labels but the labels are really pretty arbitrary or come from some old stuff that's not relevant anymore like how good wives would sew and knit and crochet and stuff and then the idea of those as something girly is blocking you guys from even trying. Idk I could build stuff too if I'd practice and somehow got stronger but I honestly hated all the woodwork stuff we did at school because I hardly could use any tools and it took me ages to saw through stuff and the machines scared me (but painting the products was fun!) and my creations were bad... I'd personally prefer some pattern like the one on the right but it will be much harder for sure... A striped tube is easy to make esp if you first crochet a long enough chain and then close it into a ring and then just go on as if nothing was weird while sometimes changing the colour the obvious way (that's what I did with the second bee! >>2547133). pindiy.com is a really good forum if you find a an expensive pattern online and want it for free but they have a weird coin system which is a bit tedious but if you comment a lot you can get something really intricate

Have you ever realised how opossums actually have quite simple colour patterns on their furs if you don't go super autistic with details?? yeah you need a smaller hook, with amigurumi it's good to go 1-2 sizes smaller than what the package says. Also safety eyes are really cheap and look miles better than glued on eyes (ik from experiece i used to make black circles with thread and glue them on it looked really bad) or buy a pack of buttons and sew them on for a more vintage-y look i really like that with my dragons (i'd love to post it but i already gave it to my nephew)

Thanks for this tip! Although I'm pretty sure there's navy blue in the yarn product family I've been using which is all natural but I'll be sure to check next time I go buy those!!!

A beanie is probably the safest option. I'd love to make some cat or bear ears on his beanie but I know he'd never ever use it if I did that... So I'd say a round amigurumi-esque beanie is the thing I'll be making and it has to be navy blue apparently so yeah that's pretty much it! But if you have some pattern links I'd def be interested!

I tried the yarn under stitch thingy and made a little polar bear! I think that's so so so much better and at least much more dense than the yarn over way

also try building the animals with spheres it looks better than a long tube and gets you comfortable with sewing and joining the pieces together
For spheres start with 6 single crochet and increase the stitch count by 6 each round (6, 12, 18, 24, 30..) until you get a good size, do a few more rounds without increases, and then do the same thing in reverse with decreases (and if you want the decreases to leave smaller holes only use the front loops (the ones closer to you))

Thanks, most doily designs are based on pineapple/peacock shapes ! Most designs only use the basic stitches (sc, hdc, dc..) so the only difficulty is that the hooks are 1mm or smaller. Also this one get's a lot of texture later on with special stitches

Well you already have pretty light blue and dark red so maybe continue the red with a light purple (or the blue with dark purple) and the light purple you can continue with a dark blue (or the dark purple you can continue with a light red) and then you won't have too many different colours in the scarf and it's easier to find clothes to wear with it!

most patterns use those 3 stitches if there is anything more complex the pattern will explain the exact process
just make what you want and learn new stitches as you need them
once you have a few projects under your belt and know how to read patterns google how to write an original pattern
boom you can make original projects

some things you can search on yt make under a few hours as beg projects:
granny squares (can be used as motifs for larger projects)
amigurumi octopus (this was my first project)
