OP's drawing is basically just another incarnation of a solar powered still, but a pretty good one by the looks of it.

However.... any design can be improved: if you're able to place the still/system in a sealed chamber (i.e. a greenhouse type chamber with glass walls to allow solar rays to enter), then you can use a small vacuum pump to lower the air pressure in the chamber.

As the air pressure drops, the boiling point of water is significantly lowered.

This means the solar still can operate successfully at much lower water temps than would be required at atmospheric pressure at sea level, for instance.

Boiling point of water @ atmospheric pressure at sea kevel: 100C/212F.

Boiling point of water @ peak of Mt Everest's lower air pressure: 68C/154F.

This of course in turn translates to much less solar energy needed to turn a given amount of dirty water into clean vapour/distilled H2O.

More cost effective is to use the greywater to irrigate a bed of vegetation next to the rusty uninsulated shed to help regulate the temperature.

with solar stills we have to be mindful of biological contamination issues especially in the condenser side due to the damp warm temperature of the environment, but I wouldn't discuss that further here.
lets look at it in the context of J/L of solar irradiant, lets assume an average solar irradiant of 1000 W/m2 also lets assume this for the full 12 hours day to simplify the math, and lets take the example found on wiki [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_still] 0.4m diameter circle would give us an area ~0.127m2 assuming perfect power to heat conversion we get 127w over the 12hrs that would give us 5.6MJ total, we get about 43.89MJ/L.

Best practices for building your own solar water distiller (found while watching hours of bad and so-so videos) are below:

The box should be as air tight as you can get it. The more air you let in, the slower the evaporation process and hence, the slower the condensation process – meaning less drinkable water produced. Large air leaks will equal NO condensation.

The heat inside the still can easily reach temperatures of 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Choose your materials using that temperature as your minimum guideline. Use UV resistant silicone sealant around the glass.

Water depth should be around 2 inches. If the depth of the water depth is more, it takes too long for the water to get warm enough to start the evaporation process. (Although this depth limitation could possibly be overcome with the addition of a Fresnel lens on top of the glass surface.)

Incline of the glass should be around 5-10 degrees. This amount of incline allows the condensation to drip down the glass efficiently. Less incline could allow the water to fall back into the water tray. (The incline of the glass in a distiller has little to do with solar absorption or angle to the sun. The sun passes directly through the glass; therefore it has a negligible effect on the heating of the water – so the 35 degree glass incline that some people are talking about has to do with solar collectors – not solar distillers.) The job of the glass is to trap the heat and provide a slick surface for the condensation to run down. Try not to use plastic for the top of the distiller. Plastic in the sun is just putting toxins back into your water and can sag. It will also haze over and let in far less sunshine in just a few months in any long-term direct sunlight.

Glass is better than plastic for this project, unless you are like Wayne and enjoy cooking chunks of plastic into your food.

if you're talking about treating soap water, then it boils down to physical and chemical treatment, and tertiary treatment. the most basic form would be to filter out insoluble gunk, add some chemicals that precipitates out the dissolved soap, flocculation, coagulation, then settlement. after that you do whatever to the wastewater so that when you throw it out into the river, it doesn't fucking kill the whole ecosystem by following permitted wastewater specifications as dictated by law (unless it's some really nasty waste).
the problem with small scale treatment is that you need a large surface area for the settlement part (and there are other processes too like aeration) of wastewater treatment. unless you're willing to spend a lot of money on fancy equipment if you want literal drinking water from cum-soap water, you'll be forced to go to larger scales to stay cheap and efficient.
or just put it into a random ditch, let the sun do the work, then months later collect your clean water from rain
