These are sort of the low effort, high results for predatory animals like foxes and cats.
Shooting is effective, I'm not entirely sure how that works in the USA as I'm not a burger with blackpowder, if you've got a bit of cash there's plenty of companies out there making replica blackpowder firearms that work. Course actually hitting the fox in the middle of the night with some old timey yeet cannon is a whole other problem- like I've literally sat on all-nighters for a week with a variety of big guns and night vision waiting for a predatory fox to harass my lambs and they're sometimes a relatively difficult animal to kill. Not as hard as wild dogs, but some foxes get pretty cunning over the years.
If you can get a 'loaner' from a mate on the sly that won't land you in pokey just a .22, 22magnum or 223 is plenty enough

The less appealing option is 1080
Its a bait poison and it murders anything that eats it, but if you've never used animals baits you do need to wear the right PPE, stick it in the most likely places of predation on the way in, check the baits every couple of days and if you've got any open water sources (streams, dams) then you need to make sure its not going to end up in them as well as the animal itself not dying in the water.

>t. full time farmer also professional animal murderer

1080 (sodium fluoroacetate), PAPP (para-aminopropiophenone) and strychnine.will all kill foxes. Fuck, they kill anything really and depending on where you are in the world might require some government legislation, sometimes it doesn't.
You really need to be VERY careful with them or you'll end up with a neighbourhood of dead puppers, eagles, cats and anything else

Yes a 380 would work if you can hit the little cunt. Typically pistols are kind of crappy but if you can hit him in the head or chest he'll not be eating chicken or bunny dinner.

Wrong. Increasing predators is going to decrease prey unless you have a strange situation where most of the population is geriatric, which doesn't happen in nature.

Predator-prey populations in nature follow this model. They both fluctuate and the predator cycle always lags behind the prey cycle.

Exactly. OP is a retard. Nature is out of balance and there are too many rodents or some shit. The foxes came to fix the problem, but he thwarted nature by not having a locking mechanism on his rabbit hutches that an animal with no hands can't open. Now he wants to double down on the stupid by killing the solution and everybody else's gardens are going to be ravaged by wild rabbits. These aren't even animals that are difficult to protect from predators. It's not even an economy vs ecology situation. Someone else above also said to just get a better latch. Google professor parabellum and follow the instructions if you want to build an actual firearm, if not then you could try maybe an air rifle. Maybe see if you could put some sort of poison into one of those pepperball launcher things, or use a nailgun. Maybe build a flamethrower.

procure a small aircraft (crop duster, gyrocopter, etc) and drop pellets of 1080 over them. It helps if you drench the pellets in your blood. You can also mix vinegar and bleach in a large bin to create chlorine gas.

Gasoline within itself is poisonous too, so maybe drench meat in it, although antifreeze is less noticeable. Speaking of gasoline, if you find one of their holes you should set it on fire just to hear them scream. Make sure you block the hole before burning them alive. This is actually where the browser firefox got its name from.

at least eight amps direct current. fake bird won't work, so you might just want to go with an electric fence, keep in mind that current commercially available electrical fences are high voltage and low amperage, so they won't achieve the results that you want. It's amps you want, and fuck tons of them at stupid voltages.

now I'm no electrician, but I'm pretty sure that 120v 20a DC will kill, and if you're willing to do some stupid shit you could maybe double that and cook them from the insides out before they're dead.

and all they have to do is complete a circuit.

No, the second you install a chamber conversion into a blackpowder revolver, it's not a blackpowder revolver anymore, it's a proper firearm. As a US citizen, you can make a gun if you want, but you can only produce a gun that you can legally own. If you can't legally own a gun, you can't legally make it.
So no, it's not a loophole, no more so than 80% lowers or 3D printed Glock frames.

In general, they usually kind of suck, but they might be the "right" choice for certain enthusiasts.
Good ones are expensive, more expensive than tons of cheap reliable guns that exist.
$200-$400 is "normal."
They're typically chambered for old, weak, overpriced, and uncommon cartridges, but not universally.
The guns are made to run blackpowder, they can't handle the forces involved with the majority of modern loadings that happen to have the same bullet diameter.
There are exceptions of course, and some specific old revolvers hold up just fine when converted for relatively powerful cartridges like 45ACP.
45 Long Colt conversions for specific .44 black powder revolvers are the most common.

Foxes are lazy. They cannot help themselves if presented a food option that's piss easy. Simply place a lot of small bear traps or other clamp-like devices around the perimeter with some tasty meat and they'll basically kill themselves. Of course other animals will go in them too, but this can be prevented. If you don't want large birds place the trap under a ledge. If you don't want weasels in there fuck that, because every weasel needs to fucking die anyway.
If you catch a fox, grab an axe, chop it to pieces and put its body around the terrain. Foxes are smart enough to recognize their dead kin and stay away.

If you are serious about this. Killing them isn't the answer. More will move into the space.

I raise chickens and to deal with fox, I walk my property line with my dog and literally piss it with him. If you find a fox den, literally piss all over it, inside of it. Your goal is to make the space feel and be hostile to the animal. They will take the path of least resistance and move onto easier prey. You are the easy prey at the moment.

I also kept buckets up on posts to shoot with a 22 in the middle of the night to scare them off. I light them up with a flash light and I'd I get one that's persistent, I kill it. Your best bet is literally motion lights and pissing your property. I'm not fucking around, I'm not joking. I haven't had a fox issue in 3 years and I see them over the hill all the time.

Chcikens are free range and I haven't had a loss in 3 years. I've had 2 hawk attacks this year, both hawks young and unsuccessful. Over my years of raising chickens I still am at single digit losses predation.
Unless you count me eating them lol
You can literally do everything I said as a felon. Replace the 22 with a air rifle. You gotta actually give a shit and do a little work.
