pick up a chain mail butchers glove and see if that works. It will be extremely expensive to get anything with a tighter mesh if not.

Put a skirt around the tree before removal to you can make sure those bastards are all cleaned up, those things can go through a boot easy as shit.

Sorta, it's like a tarp, Round, probably 10 ft in diameter, hole in the center, big drawstring around the perimeter, grommets around the edge to stake up the sides. Where I grew up always call them pickers' skirts.

>These thorns are thought to have evolved to protect the trees from browsing Pleistocene megafauna, which may also have been involved in seed dispersal,[5] but the size and spacing of them is less useful in defending against smaller extant herbivores such as deer.

I like how he parts up the last part of the trunk on the ground by just ramming his chainsaw down until it hits dirt

I bet his local repair shop loves him, most regular customer right there

I wish we could grow black locust around me, The borers get them as soon as they're old enough to flower. Every-time they release a new spray for them, seems like some new subspecies emerges that's immune to it.

Looking at the rest of the videos, it seems like he's relatively new to having a larger property. Some skills take time to develop, and always come back to "you don't know what you don't know." You should go and harass him in the comments so that he can learn.

Ours have borer holes but they don't seem to mind too much. They clearly take a lot of damage but keep on growing. I've never seen a tree be half rotten and still keeping growing like a champ. They also get these cool toadstools growing on them. Maybe I'll post some pics.

Gleditsia Triacanthos is edible (pods and seeds), why would you want to remove an edible plant out of your land?
Not to mention dried up pods smell great in autumn/winter
