If you can't fix it with a screw driver...

These, with yanking and leveraging and whatnot, do more work than any other tool.

This.

But really, Leatherman Wave. That thing has probably paid for itself in the little jobs I have done for people. It's a game changer if you have one in your drawer/car/pocket(UK knife laws - this isn't often) when you need it.

i picked up a sog multi tool and i love the extra force the pliers can apply.

I have broken many pliers side cuts and linemans pliers over the years but my sog are still holding up.

>> No.210194

Sog powerassist in black is my favourite. Pliers last forever, paired with compound leverage. Outside-accessible knives are nice. Interchangeable tools is outstanding. I might get a powerlock because the knives in the powerassist aren't that special and the powerlock holds more tools.

Then in order of preference (in my EDC rotation):
- Victorinox Swisstool
- Victorinox Voyager
- Leatherman Juice C2

>Victorinox Swisstool

This is mine also. I have a Swisstool Spirit S, and it's very good to use. Good selection of tools, and well made.

All I have right now is a swiss key 6 in 1 and some generic multi tool I found. Only really need the swiss key though for my needs since I don't do much of anything lolol, so that's all my keychain has along with a carabiner and led light.

Probably will go for a leatherman when I start getting into things and some moolah to burn as well.

I kinda want a Leatherman MUT. It does everything I want of a multitool.

But Leatherman donates to anti-gun groups. =(

>But Leatherman donates to anti-gun groups.

So? They're going to donate to them regardless of whether or not you buy their tools. The whole "I CAN'T BUY THIS CAUSE SOANDSO SUPPORTS SOANDSO!" mindset is ridiculous.

If it's something you want, buy it. Buy that fucking Leatherman and fix some gun sights or something if it makes you feel better about "supporting" anti-gun groups.

Or I could vote with my wallet like a lot of other gun owners do.

Starbucks chose not to change store policy. So, they now get a lot of gun owner business, purely because they told VPC / Brady "No".

Honestly, the amount of gun owners that wouldn't buy coffee from Starbucks if they had supported them is minuscule compared to the amount of people that have bought, are buying, and will buy coffee from there. If Starbucks was a chain of gun and ammunition stores, I'm sure it would matter whether or not gun owners supported them.

I would say Leatherman Surge, except the fact that the first time I used the small screwdriver it has disintegrated. However I love all the rest.

oh, my favorite multitool at job is the multimeter.

Send it back - 25 year warranty. I have had mine repaired (Wave) with the same issue.

>> No.210893

I've got a Leatherman Wave and Gerber Evo that I switch between.

The Evo's the beefier of the two but the Wave is noticeably lighter and easier to carry for extended periods.

>>210875

You can get new bits for the small driver, often free under warranty. I had the same problem, where the bit basically just shattered. I think they harden the bit a bit too much given its length, so it ends up not being able to take much torque.

I sent mine in for warranty and it came back adjusted and re-oiled, and with two new bits for the small driver.

I have an old USA Made Gerber Scout 600 pro

I was going to buy a Leatherman Charge Ti, but I heard they have rusting issues and I too heard they are anti 2nd amendment so I wont buy them
>just like how I dont buy Levis anymore...

Anyways I dont really use it too much, I just opt to use the real tool
I have had the thought of leaving it in the car, but I have a toolbox with all the equivalent tools in it aswell

I carry a victorinox super tinker on me, I would say that is my favorite multitool
Sure I dont have pliers on me at all times, but its just too much for my to have a big multitool everywhere I go

Had this for 3 years digging ditches, it's still around, I'm just not diggin much . Could use it to open utility handholes, most anything that wasn't bolted or screwed down. Could cut conduit with it if I really tried. I could keep it sharp as all heck.

>> No.210960

The only one I have, an 8 year old Leatherman Wave.

>> No.210962

I recall hearing the Tim Leatherman is anti-gun thing around the time the 'Assault Weapon' ban expired, but could never actually confirm one way or the other. Anybody got the scoop?

>> No.210969

I have used a swiss tool spirit for the last 6-5 years, have it everyday, its a really well made tool and much better quality then leatherman ( I also have a wave and a charge TI), also has a lifetime warranty not just 25 years like leatherman
