Is there such a thing as one of these that doesn't completely suck?

I've never had one of those that sucked. They all work fine. Now the tape on the other hand can definitely suck.

It's a system failure between the machine and the tape. I dread using the thing.

Uline used to have ones they'd send nearly everytime we'd order tape that used to be made in Italy. Those did not suck.

If you got a bad one just tinker with it. You can bend the tensioner and reposition the blade. Also, git gud.

I used to work a job that required tightly packing up robots and we had these type. They are much easier to use in my opinion. Maybe not as durable as the normal type but they give you much more control over how much tension you put on the tape roll.
