It's good for some jobs but not all. It is better in compressive strength applications (filling divets and resurfacing) rather than tensile strength applications (sticking shit to other shit that is being pulled apart). for tensile strength metal to metal applications, try loctite "metal and concrete" epoxy. I tried JB weld to hold a divorced choke bracket to an intake manifold (bolt broke off and extractor broke off in bolt, so it's mostly fucked). That repair lasted 3-4 years (pretty good, considering) then came apart; re-did the job with loctite, now on year 3 and seems to be holding tight.

I know that you think you are all knowledgeable because you sit and read reviews all day, but im actually a machinist, and we actually use socket cap screws all day long on our parts and on our machines.

I have worn out countless hex keys.
We have all sorts of brands laying around including Eklind and Bhondus.
We used to just buy Paramount keys in bulk because they worked ok.
We went to Wera Hexplus because they last way longer and they dont strip fasteners as quickly when they are worn out.

We get it, you bought something therefore you think its the greatest tool on earth. And you feel like a snowflake because you think you got it on a good sale.
And since its not reddits favorite, you get to feel like a contrarian too.
Maybe there is a reason you arent taken seriously here.

I’m curious avout these Powerbuilt Zeon hex sockets. The other Zeon sockets have a goofy design too.

There are no good hex keys. They all round off or the balls shear on rusted set screws holding motor keys. The only good ones are the ones that you can buy a single replacement for the 2 actual sizes you use 95% of the time for your job.

For me it's 1/8". I literally buy 6 at a time because if I have a set this little fucker is the one that is going to crap out or get left behind. Local small box hardware has them for $.60. I would rather have 6 okayish ones in a size I use constantly then 1 from a top shelf set.

I have rounded off hex keys from every price point and manufacturer sold in my state and the neighboring 2. I have twisted them into nice little twists. They are all crap. No exceptions. I buy the .60 ones to replace the ones I have destroyed. A badly stuck set screw will outperform the thing trying to turn it if it is a handheld L or T shape wrench. That's why I have an impact rated one set that fits my driver and if that still won't work a black oxide drill bit and a tap and die set with replacement set screws.

But by all means if you know the holy grail of hex keys (long arm preferred) I will entertain novel suggestions.

What's a good recommendation for super glue or adhesive for around-the-house projects?

I have had great luck with the Q-bond kit. Yeah it is a bit pricey, but that powder lasts for fucking ever, and the superglue itself has lasted me for a couple years now. I just make sure to re-cap the bottle with the little push pin looking cap and it seals it off really well.

Yes, it comes with a black and a gray powder that acts as a filler and instantly sets up when you apply superglue. Kinda like the baking soda trick.

I picked up a new SK 45170 for $30 on eBay, then joined SK's Socket of the Month club for $50/yr. Later I'll get an old box off eBay.

Best ratchet I've ever used.

After 12 months I'll have a pretty nice 13 pc set for about $100. A definite upgrade from the Taiwanese-made Williams sets I've got now.

The grips do slide off over time and the text gets rubbed off with use. I hit them with a heatgun once in a while, but it is the price to pay for good fitment. They make versions without the rubber grips too btw.
Bondhus is also nice, I love the T-Handles for when I cant reach shit with the ball end of the hex plus keys.
Any quality hex key will do you well honestly.
But hex plus just hits different bros.
