It's good for some jobs but not all. It is better in compressive strength applications (filling divets and resurfacing) rather than tensile strength applications (sticking shit to other shit that is being pulled apart). for tensile strength metal to metal applications, try loctite "metal and concrete" epoxy. I tried JB weld to hold a divorced choke bracket to an intake manifold (bolt broke off and extractor broke off in bolt, so it's mostly fucked). That repair lasted 3-4 years (pretty good, considering) then came apart; re-did the job with loctite, now on year 3 and seems to be holding tight.

Bepis please.
I know that you think you are all knowledgeable because you sit and read reviews all day, but im actually a machinist, and we actually use socket cap screws all day long on our parts and on our machines.

I have worn out countless hex keys.
We have all sorts of brands laying around including Eklind and Bhondus.
We used to just buy Paramount keys in bulk because they worked ok.
We went to Wera Hexplus because they last way longer and they dont strip fasteners as quickly when they are worn out.

We get it, you bought something therefore you think its the greatest tool on earth. And you feel like a snowflake because you think you got it on a good sale.
And since its not reddits favorite, you get to feel like a contrarian too.
Maybe there is a reason you arent taken seriously here.

Also of all the people in the world, you should be the one jerking off over the wera keys.
They work like flank drive, I would have figured someone like you would have drooled over that. Everyone knows how much better flank drive is in real life.

Espcially seeing how their low end extruded hex keys (not the high end multi colored, cnc milled ones) arent expensive.

So at that point you’re just a brandwhore because it doesn’t have the hex plus anyway. It’s like buying the $99 M12 impact driver kit and then shilling Milwaukee to everybody.

I like shitting on Wera because they’re Playskool tools and they make a bunch of meme shit that Garage Journal unboxers love but tradies hate. They make some good drivers, but they’re not cheap and there’s plenty of other good brands in the same price range.

I’m curious avout these Powerbuilt Zeon hex sockets. The other Zeon sockets have a goofy design too.

>*Have you owned Wera or are you basing your opinion on your poor reading comprehension of tool reviews*
Clearly not.

The extruded keys have the same exact Hex Plus geometry as the CNC milled ones. Did you not even look at the description or the name of the product?
I really am surprised you didnt know that, but I guess its not surprising. When you say stuff like
>I like shitting on Wera because they’re Playskool tools and they make a bunch of meme shit that Garage Journal unboxers love but tradies hate.

Also Wera reviews are hilarious. 3/4 of them are Redditors who bought them because of other Redditors and Garage Journal or whatever blog. It’s like “Just got them today, 5 stars!”. And then a bunch of other reviews from mechanics and shit who actually use them like “Have had these for 6 months, the grips are peeling and the sockets won’t fit on my Snap On ratchets. But here you go, you seem to have trouble understanding what an extruded hex key is. Its Wera, so if you are going to buy their unpopular extruded keys, you have to buy from a tool company who imports them, not a 3rd party jacking the price up from amazon.

Im simply showing the actual street price of the vastly superior Wera wrenches. You were strawmanning by intentionally picking the wrong tools we werent talking about, hoping id just leave.
Guess what? Some horse shit coating isnt going to do shit in a hex key. Being extruded like a flank drive actually does.

I never claimed that the highest end premium hex key brand is going to be the cheapest obviously, but they are certainly reasonable if you buy their basic bitch keys. And they are comparable in price to your "high end" coated bhondus keys while objectively being better keys.
You would never sit and jerk off some non flank drive sockets, yet because "muh reddit" you are doing it with hex keys.

Even to the point you are pretending they are "chinesium" and intentionally comparing expensive keys that nobody was talking about.
It seems like all you care about is "winning" this little argument
Me on the other hand wants other anons to know that the Wera keys actually exist and are the actually the king of reasonably priced but extremely high end keys.

>There’s a reason OP posted Bondhus and not Wera when it comes to good AFFORDABLE tools.

Just another deflection. How surprising.
4chan isnt real life, you dont have to lie your ass off to save face and look cool to anons.

If those keys had literally any other brand name on them, you would jerk yourself off over them. But since you have made an ass of yourself every single time Wera has come up, you have to save face.

But im not really worried about that, and I dont think any other anon looking for good hex keys is either. Being "reddit" is much of a concern to anyone else when buying tools.
Ill let you have the last word, because I know how important image is to you.

To everyone else, remember that if you want actual good allen keys that dont rip out fasteners the second they start to wear, Wera literally makes keys designed to not do that.
All for the price of the "gold" bhondus keys

There are no good hex keys. They all round off or the balls shear on rusted set screws holding motor keys. The only good ones are the ones that you can buy a single replacement for the 2 actual sizes you use 95% of the time for your job.

For me it's 1/8". I literally buy 6 at a time because if I have a set this little fucker is the one that is going to crap out or get left behind. Local small box hardware has them for $.60. I would rather have 6 okayish ones in a size I use constantly then 1 from a top shelf set.

I have rounded off hex keys from every price point and manufacturer sold in my state and the neighboring 2. I have twisted them into nice little twists. They are all crap. No exceptions. I buy the .60 ones to replace the ones I have destroyed. A badly stuck set screw will outperform the thing trying to turn it if it is a handheld L or T shape wrench. That's why I have an impact rated one set that fits my driver and if that still won't work a black oxide drill bit and a tap and die set with replacement set screws.

But by all means if you know the holy grail of hex keys (long arm preferred) I will entertain novel suggestions.
