How can I install quarter round without buying a nail gun?

>> No.2033381

Pick up one of these for like $30. Better yet, get a Ryobi nailgun for $80. Nailing quarter round by hand is super annoying and a complete waste of time.

>> No.2033383

Drill with small bit buy some finish nails and drive them until the head hits and use a nail set to finish it off.

That's what ya got in your picture. Those things are too shitty to drive into anything that isn't pine. A hand driven faster is superior in almost every way especially when the goal is a final product doesn't look like a cheap ass Mexican put it in with a million little holes in it trying to make it hold. Only have eleven years of experience to back that up though.

This, except just cut he head off of one of the finish nails that you're going to use, and use it instead of a drill bit: perfect sized hole, and cheap. Worried about leaving elephant tracks in the wood because you suck at driving nails? Take a paint stirrer or a wedge for a door frame, cut a "V" in the end, use it to protect the quarter round as you drive the nail.

Hammer, 18ga nails, and a nail setter. All are roughly the same cost and less convenient than a bargin pneumatic 18ga air nailer.

This. Hammer and finish nails.

You could use double stick tape and just caulk these in.

It's ghetto as fuck, but it will work. Just make sure it's only glued to the baseboard trim and not to the flooring, otherwise the flooring expanding and contracting will cause it to separate.
