Hi anons, don't know if this breaks the rules for the board. Looking for a new way to spend time, I own a house and have a lowes pretty close. Good garage setup that I can make into anything I want. What are good projects or skills I should try to learn?

Does your house have 200 year furnishings? Does your mother's?
Pick the cheapest room in the house. Ask your wife to print out her ideal dining set, dresser, or coffee table. Start with a single stool, nightstand, or end table. Use solid wood, and complex joinery. Check the accents against her tastes. Sell failures, keep successes.

When spring comes, put your project room on hold and plant a climate appropriate garden. Something that requires little to no maintenance. Also two fruit trees.

Put up a smoke shack, and spend the summer fishing. Also buy a bow/rifle and practice while the weather's nice.

Harvest and plant grain in the fall. Help your wife can the produce. Donate firstfruits and surplus.

Repeat unto death or second coming.
