What's the difference between a hexagon head cap screw and a machine bolt, if both are the same length. The cap screw head looks thicker; why would that be. Both need to be tall enough for a standard wrench.

Can you do this with your fav screw? If not, it's shit.

Removing slotted screws that are 35 years old and have rusted heads has made up my mind about slotted screws.

They’re only good for neutral and grounding bars.

Wall panels, floor tiles/sheets, ceiling panels, wall insulation, wire insulation, pipe insulation, ductwork insulation, loose-fill insulation, roofing tiles, roofing felt, exterior siding, plastics, glues/adhesives, cloth, baby powder, makeup, brake pads, Crayons, cigarette filters, fake snow. Roberson screws are better than Phillip's or slotted because they dont easily cam out.

When civilization collapses, we probably gonna go back to simple slotted though because they're easier to make and dont have to be as precise made as robersons to work well enough.

Looking forward to the post collapse society where we are all using old school techniques and hand tools again.

What's stopping you from turning off your damn phone and buying some crap land out in the middle of nowhere so you can enjoy your dream of no electricity, no health care, no grocery stores, no motor vehicles, etc.? Why do you have to wait for something THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Sure, pal. I think you're as screwed in the head as the Portland Autonomous morons who poured some potting soil on some sheets of cardboard, then put a few small plants on it, and thought they were going to feed hundreds of people in a few months, or even a few years. All the while their "autonomous zone" was going to rely on daddy's electricity, water, and sewer (or porta john maintenance). LARPers like you are the product of a failed public education system that teaches you that everything white people accomplished was evil, and life would be bucolic and flawless if we could just get rid of that damn technology and science.

Like I said earlier, there's nothing stopping you from pursuing your dream of "using old school techniques and hand tools" except for reality.

Americans are far too quick to tear down houses and rebuild them with modern utilities and comforts.
Its a pity they dont live in 150 year old houses with cistern water, no insulation, no forced air heaing, no air conditioning, just a pillbox that is impossible to retrofit.
