Boom lifts are based. I love using them. I hate ladders because I'm clumsy and anxious more often than not. I always feel like I'm going to fall down.

I hate moving A-frame ladders longer than 12 ft long

I don't mind extension ladders. I love em. You have to tie a halyard to secure the wrungs in case they fall. As long as there's hooks on top and the bottom feet are secured with a 2x4, I'd climb an extenion ladder up 20 feet if need be.
