fun fact; if you turn the copper thing around and place it back, the clock moves backwards

this has to be a bait, if not then,
god damn, you are so fucking stupid
it is just to ridiculous to describe , don't any of you fucks learn anything when you go to school ?
I mean , this is the shit we learned about in grammar school.
this is electro-mechanical /magnetism the most basic science that can be taught , other then how to make fucking fire.
this the same shit as wrapping wire around nails and picking up paperclips or making buzzers

you are to just stupid to be allowed to live.

26 year old here. Can confirm they never touched on this in school. Not our fault you boomer fucks built the curriculum. Also all we learn about history is civil war and slavery as well as ww2 and holocaust. Have to educate ourselves unfortunately.

>you boomer fucks

I am 31 , you damn retard. this was brought up in the 6th grade, when we played with magnates and iron filings, motors on the diesel electric trains , how electrics cars worked and other electric machinery and appliances, why coffee makers got hot .
then in 7th grade science class these sames were discussed again with more detailed explanation, with why gasoline cars work , why airplanes fly, and what geosynchronous orbits are, and why they put satellites in them.
along with a host of other other things,
8th grade shop class we learned how to make a crystal radio that doesn't need a battery , how to do rudimentary drafting, how to correctly use hand and power tools.
9 th grade -- small engine repair.
10th you had the choice of something called basic ag shop , that was welding and machining ,
or autoshop, I did autoshop so I could fix my own car.
11th andf 12th more of the same but more detailed instruction.
them I took these along with autoshop
and in 12th grade I was allowed 4 electives so I took basic programming and digital art.
the school still teaches these , but there is more emphasis on computers and programming now.

were you in the special ed class or something?
what kind of shit school did you go to ?

>> No.1809413

>>1809399
No, we just took real courses instead of 8 years of shop class. The shop class kids were the special kids, anon.

Also you weren't learning the physics behind electromagnetism in 6th grade. Stop larping. Playing with magnets =/= understanding magnetism and realizing its niche uses in small electronics.

Also also OP is clearly trolling.

You don't need to understand anything other than the basics of a concept in late elementary or early middle school. You still get introduced to theory and get some lab work in which allows you to understand basic applications like those being discussed itt.

t. also learned this in 4th-7th grade physical science classes.

I never claimed that. or even alluded to it.
this was the high school curriculum , which is why someone in the 12th grade gets to choose the classes the wish to take, electives, if they have gotten high marks in all the required , here " high school " is free , What country do you live in that makes you pay for it.

damn , you are just stupid.

Yeah, we've got a special flower here. It's great and all that you went to an awesome school that had a great curriculum, maybe try to push for other schools to have the same thing. Maybe then your kid won't get raised with a shitty ass general education. I'm well educated on a few topics, but that's it, and it's because I educated myself via the Internet in my spare time.
Only schools I've ever heard about having that kind of teaching, are private schools

In public middle school, about 6th-7th grade, in eastern US in the 1990s we had to build a small motor in science class. It was just one of those shitty ones similar to this image, but we had to learn all about motors and the general science behind it.

90% of the students in my class completely forgot it by the following year. The only thing people remember is dissecting fetal piglets. lol

Literally what the hell are you talking about, Sir Hurtest of Butts?

Nobody said we paid for high school. Nobody said you said you went to Uni. I merely pointed out that the reason you were able to take 400 shop classes is because you didn't take as many other classes, such as those required for entrance to a university.

Jesus christ the state of tradecucks.

again you announce your stupidity and inability to read and/or comprehend simple English .

this anon >>1809439 states
>I'm not talking about your private school
or
this anon : >>1809443 clearly states :
>Ask me how I know you didn't go to university
a question that somehow suggests my line of logic implied it.
I don't know why you cannot fathom these simple and direct statements.

and to explain for your enfeebled mind to comprehend, the practicals were only 3 of the 8 1/2 hours we invested at our school, to learn how to be successful in the world of business and commerce, that could be applied for further advancement by choosing to go even higher on the educational ladder . the college of your choice.
and you seem to be highly upset that you wasted or are wasting your educational opportunities,
and not taking advantage of the possibilities presented to you , because of either being lazy ,
or worse
believing that the trade world is beneath your dignity., because you have some inflated sense of self-worth,
which makes you believe you are somehow deserving of a profession and corresponding income that you have not earned.
which is ignorance and stupidity personified , that you lash out and call people who are taking the lead in the commercial and industrial world

I'm not even going to begin to go into how most of that was just jibberish. Jesus christ man we were just establishing that simply because YOUR specific school went into POSSIBLY more detail about fucking magnets, doesn't mean everyone had the same teachers or took the same courses. I know you wanted this to devolve into some sort of "hur dur yur skool bad" shit but you're just trying way too hard. It's getting tough to read, but it's like a car crash: it's morbidly interesting to see which hoops you're lining up to fall through next.

In Finland in the 90s our shop classes included electronics assembly in through 1st to 6th years but no pure physics or electronics until 7th grade.

But at that point you could take electronics instead of shop and got all kinds of information from physics and chemistry.

Anyway, stop being a whiny bitch. If somebody doesn't know what a specific electronic component does, then that's just the way it is. They don't come tell you about your lacking social skills all the time either, huh? So you should shut up about some irrelevant hand-picked niche piece of information that they don't have. It's pointless to whine about something like this.
