most people say brass is fine but the same people also haven't a clue what brass is made of. zinc, copper, and often a pretty good amount of lead. zinc poisoning is not a good time, and it's certainly a possibility. i myself would not use brass

The amount of zinc you'd have to consume on a regular basis has to be pretty high for a long time. Zinc is used in common cold tablets with no issues. The problem with consuming too much zinc is that it starts to prevent absorption of iron and copper which your body needs. I mean you can drink too much water and die too.

The amount of lead in some brass fittings is only 5%, the amount that you'd consume if you used said fitting in a potable water system would be insignificant, probably get more exposure from other sources.

It's mostly copper and zinc, only some fittings have up to 5% lead and if it's a water fitting it doesn't have it. Even if it did have lead, you're not melting it and vaporizing it. Go for it, the copper will get discolored though.

Thanks guys, quick follow-up. Can you use a pickup truck exhaust pipe as a temporary onahole? Its obviously cleaned of any soot and stuff, and about the right diameter. I live far from the closest Japanese adult boutique and can only get there in like 14 days.
