Had to change a tire and noticed these unusual brake rotors that Ive never seen before. Im guessing that theyre some special racing type with awesome cooling fins. Does anyone know who makes these?

that's not a brake rotor, that's an enormous muffler bearing (likely from a big rig) some dipshit somehow got to fit over his wheel hubs.

>> No.1635791

I was buying a used car from an older man and when I took it to get inspected before purchase, I mentioned to the mechanic that on the way to the shop there was a nasty noise from the brakes.

He pulled the wheel off and this is pretty much exactly what I saw.. I called the man I was buying the car from and told him about it. He completely refused to believe me, saying that the car was in "perfect working order" and said that if I didn't bring his car back now he was calling the police.

The mechanic didn't want to let me drive off like this, and I didn't want to drive it either to be honest. So, after calling the owner again and explaining that the car shouldn't be driven and that he would have to have it fixed or towed himself.

After about 20 mins, the police showed up, turns out the old guy was serious about calling them. They asked what the problem was because they had a report of the car being stolen. I explained what the issue was and the mechanic backed me up.. But it wasn't until the officer saw the rotor himself that he personally called the owner himself and said that he would have to arrange transport for the vehicle because he would not allow me to drive it back to his house in such an unsafe state.

TL;DR - had the same situation at a mechanics with a car I was buying. Wouldn't drive it back after and the owner called the cops.

I don't know whether you're blind or retarted, but legally you shouldn't be allowed to drive.
