Why doesn't DeWalt make a pole saw? Not a damn pole hedge trimmer, chainsaw on a pole.

if only I cared enough

maybe I will just buy an electric one and throw a generator in the back of the truck.

Then I can role-play as a mexican lawn trimmer?

The electric ones cost the same as the battery ones, at that point it's probably worth nigger rigging. You can buy these $10 USB charge adapters from china which provide you with a good fit and easy swapping of batteries, you just have to glue/screw it to the end of the Ryobi's handle and tap into the power connections.

I made one with an 8' 2x2 that I had in the garage. I sawed a slot down one end of it, then drilled a couple of holes to fit the folding pruning saw blade that I had that the handle was broken on. I never have to worry about which batteries fit it right, it if they're charged, or anything. I've used it to take off an 8" Pin Oak limb, not a big deal.

Talk to TTi, the owners of Ryobi and Milwaukee. They handle all of the manufacturing of electric tools for Home Depot.

I’m pretty sure it’s the same reason why you can’t buy a high torque impact wrench from Porter Cable, Ryobi, or Ridgid. Those specialty tools are only going to be offered on the high dollar platforms.

>get corded model for $50
>get Li-Ion jumper pack
>acquire 12VDC->120VAC inverter

>profit!

Anon with his car battery powered lawn mower gave me so much inspiration. You could get a couple jumper packs and good inverter and build a backpack, run a short extension cord out of that bitch and you have one power pack for all of the corded tools.

Depends on what you're doing. It's a major timesaver for light metal fabrication or working with conduit / strut.

Does this mean we can expect a 60V wheelbarrow and 120V backhoe?
