Why was your money on a rake when your hands are shaped like little rakes? Do Americans really do this

>> No.1601038

They don't really work, unless you're geriatric I wouldn't recommend it. Buy a gas echo, stihl or a rake

>> No.1601044

Might be ok if you can also run it on 110V. I have a Stihl backpack blower and I only use it for leaves because it doesn't really work as good as a rake for thatch. If you're just gonnna blow crap off a driveway or porch this would probably be ok

Those are pretty useful. I have one and use it to blow dust off of my gas powered blower.

That's it, grass clippings off my driveway and sidewalk. Maybe a light dusting of snow if I'm really lazy. All my leaves just get chopped up by my mower

They work pretty well. Battery technology has come a long way. A few short years ago and I'd have never considered anything electric.

2 stroke engine technot is Garbage. I don't want to take apart another engine and clean the carb every 3 weeks. I'm just blowing grass clippings

My 4 cycle stihl backpack blower has never failed to start once in four years. I do zero maintenance. Don't waste your money on shit tier equipment.

If you run non ethanol in your two strokes they will almost never need carb repair. I didn't even winterize my trimmer last fall and it started up like 3rd pull.

This is like the one electric yard tool I would consider buying. I wouldn’t use it outside because my neighbors might see me, but I could use it to blow the leaves and dust out of the garage from time to time since it would be easier than priming and starting the gas blower for 20sec of use.

At least the Ryobi one uses too batteries. Would never want a big 40V+ model that takes a $200 battery. Ridgid sells an 18V blower-vac kit that I would consider grabbing if it went on sale real cheap. Wouldn’t mind the vac either because it’s a pain taking out the big shop vac just to clean up the corners of the work bench.

just buy an air compressor if you want to blow out your garage dude

I have a small compressor. It’s good for cleaning off the work bench, but not exactly the best tool for blowing out an entire 2 car garage.

why don't we just put a supercapacitor bank in our power tools
just charge for 20 seconds just before you use it, and when it runs out of power after a while, charge it another 20 seconds

Have the model in between those two in pic. Was dirt cheap and breaking out the leaf hog just to polish the porch is a fuggin toodoo. I hooks up my 9ah Dewalt flexvolt, that bitch sounds off like a banshee and before I realize wat happened, the entire property is spotless. Every last one of em ain't worth diddly shit if you're swapping batteries every ten minutes.
>>1601275
FCOL, it's a garage, just grab a push broom u lazy bastard. Your lungs couldn't possibly be any happier.

>> No.1601684

>>1601680
Push broom is a pain in the ass tho because there’s too many corners and extension cords and air hoses on the ground. If I want to get it clear with brooms, I gotta take a small one in all the corners and then get the push broom for the rest. Easier just to blast it with the blower.

Biased chart. Extra weight/volume of ICE isn't being taken into account, and ICEs have much worse conversion efficiency than battery + electric motor.

>> No.1602169

>>1601060
That chart gives no indication for how efficiently that energy can be harnessed. Accounting for that, the difference isn't nearly as big.

FUCK NO.

GASSERS KEK THE FUCK OFF.

I'm shopping for an electric golf cart right now for a mower, controller, and charger on a /diy electric mower. I built a giant ass deck that shoots grass out the front and the back towards the other chute so it doesnt blow cut grass back onto uncut grass much. Testing has gone well. Will show it off here next month if i get it done.
