I finished wall insulation, water, drain, electrics and drywalling in my living room, including a construction to hide the pipes and the support structure. I've installed an electric screen and I'm going to install a small hatch in the ceiling which will be lowered by the linear actuator visible in the gif, this hatch will contain the projector. I've cut off the original control box for the screen and incorporated it into my own system so I can lower the screen and the hatch with one single button. Button will be placed on a wall mounted control box which will also house temperature control and some domotics I'm planning to build.

Found a europallet, stuck on 4 trolley wheels (might do 2 more for the middle) and had to cut away a 26x2x7cm section from each corner so the BILLY bookshelves would nicely fit.
Screwed those onto the pallet.

Now all I gotta find is a 120x80cm tabletop to use as workspace. Perhaps a second removable one out of metal I can attach a circular sawblade to. Once removed it can hang down the side while the other is on top.

Idea is to make a mobile workstation in my bedroom. Room is rather large, but I hate affixing anything permanent, especially heavy shit if I ever want to clean/vaccuum.
The shelves provide storage space, on the sides for tools/materials/table vice. Could even make four drawers in the undercarriage of the pallet itself.

In the middle I can put literally anything aswell, hang shit from the back of the shelves, the possibilities are endless.
Whole thing is 106cm high, so there's no bending over when working.

Also I finished this a little while back. Wood was out of an old bed mattress-(lattice?) feel free to google Lattenrost. The round poles I bought seperately.

Whole thing is mounted to two long screws in the wall with those little plastic ribbed inserts to prevent sliding out.
There's currently double the amount of shit on it currently, still going strong, though I wouldn't be doing pull ups on it.

If I could redo this I'd have rubbed in some wood oil or some kinda cream. This is in the bathroom after all, though no signs of warping or bending yet.

Tbh a circular saw might be a bit overkill, its just I have nowhere else I might go about doing so.
Yes I know sawdust is crazy. When I went about smooth-surfacing the surfaces of the pallet, I used a hammer-dill and a wirebrush/rotating sandpaper-bit.
Shit got everywhere, holy fuck. Think I'll get a vacuum set up close to whatever's being shaped this time.
My concern is more on the noise than the dust.
My grinder makes a fucking racket even when outside.

After second layer of primer, as you can see, fine woodworking is not one of my talents so it'll need a final filling, sanding and priming before I'll apply the lacquer. Of course, it would have been wiser not to try routing multiplex in the first place but I had a ton of the stuff laying around and I wanted a rounded edge.

Kek, that's a blatant lie and you know it. You can clearly see the uneven filling on the edges. Not that it matters, I'll hopefully be able to get it smooth after this coat of primer dries. But, if people are interested, I'll make a thread this friday so I can post some progress, otherwise it'll just die.

This here is the hole which will accommodate the projector. HDMI, 230V and 12V already in place. I'm going to saw a multiplex latch the same size as the hole and attach it to the rear with piano hinge. Then I'll install the actuator and connect it. Latch will just be painted along with the ceiling and I'll camouflage the slits with white plastic trimming.

Not him, but he prolly has a spring on one end that is more drilled out than the other.
Spring keeps the rod in the less drilled out end in its hole otherwise.
When you change a roll, push rod horizontally into more drilled out hole and the entire rod allows itself to be removed allowing the roll to be changed.

I'll tell you how to make sure you don't make Elliot Rodger and make girls instead. I'm a doc so trust me.

Making half bred girls 101:
>taimingu
The most important factor is timing. The baby’s sex is determined by the chromosome carrying sperm. Y swim faster, but survive for shorter periods of time than their female producing counterparts. You should have sex TWO to FOUR days before ovulation if you are hoping to conceive a girl. By the time ovulation occurs, only the X should be left to fertilise the egg.
>sexpose
To conceive a girl, shallow penetration during sex is the key, but for a boy, the opposite is true. I advise missionary position or a small dick LMAO.
>don't make the girl orgasm/go for ACIDIC vaginas
Don't fret - my racetraitor brothers - it's science. The female orgasm releases an alkaline secretion which may help Y to survive longer, by creating a less hostile environment.
An acidic vaginal environment is more conducive to a girl. An acidic pH will negatively affect the Y, which is weaker and less resilient than the X.
>avoid nofap/have more sex, but with a different partner
MASTURBATE like a teen on heat. This will reduce sperm count, and mean there are less fast-swimming boy sperm available to join the race for fertilisation.
>don't fall for the coffeine meme
Don't drink coffee/stimultants if you want a girl and do if you want a boy. Apparently, the caffeine is detrimental to female sperm.
>drink milk/GOMAD
For a girl, eat milk products, drink milk, eat yogurt and cheese. A diet low in sodium and potassium and high in calcium and magnesium helps produce a girl.

Yeah. Not the orthodox way :-)

I know you're supposed to use a sharp knife and break it, but that never worked all that well for me. Instead, I keep old japanese saws around after they've grown too dull for wood and use them for drywall. For larger pieces I use one of these large toothed saws for foamed concrete blocks.

The jap saw does a pretty decent job, but the big toothed fellow tends to rip more cardboard off than strictly needed, that's why it looks so ragged.

I just bought my first house, I’ve got a wife and 2 kids moving onto 9 acres with a 40x60 ft barn soon. I’m designing a chicken tractor, which is basically a chicken coop on wheels that I can move around the property to limit surface damage (also owner and realtor warned me about bald eagles landing there often). Besides that, I’ll be establishing a duck pen and I’m really excited to put in a ground level kiddie pool near the most downhill section of the pen, I’m going to trench a pvc pipe with continuing away and will caulk it to the bottom of the pool so I can pull a plug and empty to pool whenever and it’ll disperse the duck shit soup downhill away from my animals. Eventually we’re gonna get some goats too but first I need my buddy to breed his alpacas, we need a guard animal due to coyotes in the area and a donkey isnt as good as a free alpaca. I’m so excited to farm and raisin some animals guys... like seriously I’m so ducking satisfied with my life now having land raising/tending to livestock has always been a dream and I’m just so ducking happy my family and I get to do this together. chickens will need full coop, and depending on the general wildlife in you area, there might be need for further precautions.
goats? for milk, only. I find their meat extremely unpalatable. had to boil, grind, add shit ton of spices and then make kebab out of it before we could eat it.

People with benches like that look down upon wooden wedge set planes almost universally in my experience.

Such hammers do come in handy from time to time but really just tap the toe of the plane on the bench if you want a deeper cut, tap the heel if you want a shallower cut and grab what ever scrap of hardwood that is on the bench to tap the wedge back home. The hammers really become useful with the joinery and molding planes where the blade has to be lined up perfectly with the sole in just the right way, I use a jewelers hammer I got at an antique store for $5 myself but it lacks one thing the fancy plane hammers have, the head is long enough to reach over the iron which is kind of nice. Up until recently the only small hammers with a long enough head to reach over the iron of western planes were like the Wyle and expensive. There are some cheap options now, but they will never be mistaken for a quality tool, will do the job, just expect to have to tighten the head up a few times in the first years or replace the handle.

I like your bench better, much more practical, there is little I could not make on your bench, not much I could make on that shiny one. Leg vices suck for most everything but jointing wide boards, and he only has one row of dog holes which makes that fancy end vice kind of a joke. It is a joiners bench disguised as a cabinet makers bench and it fails at doing either well.

>> No.1606826

>>1603624
One thing I would do to your bench is wax the top well, that way you can use that nice end vice with its bench dogs to glue up panels without worry of gluing the panel to the bench, end vices with two rows of bench dogs like that are great for gluing up panels.

yeah, leg vices do suck :D that's why I did not bother with one
and yes, one row of dog holes is also lame.
tl;dr I actully sat down and went through various designs, then I binge watched shit ton of jewtube vids, and then for good measure I sat and thought. what I strove was a practical, common sense workbench, and as little fancy stuff as possible (as you pointed out - that fancy end vice - it just adds assload of pain in all orifices to make it... while functionally I saw now extree advantage over simple vice with dog holes in the jaw)
gotta give it to him though - that's mighty beautiful workmanship.

I try to avoid gluing anything without some cover underneath. the whole bench is oiled, I don't know how it would react now to waxing. although I might give it a try.

The proper tail vice is kind of handy and can do some neat tricks, but that captive one just makes no sense to me, all it can do is move the dog forward and back, the fear of tail vice sag taken to the extreme of removing all function from the vice.

Wax and oil go well together, classic tool/work bench finish, take cheese grater to a block of bees wax, stir wax gratings into a large jar about 1/3 full of turpentine, keep adding until no more wax will dissolve in, then add a little more turpentine, double that volume with boiled linseed, stir well and let it sit for a week, give it a good shaking every day. I tend to throw in a few drops of pine tar as well, just because. Few coats of that and glue will not stick to your bench, just waxing it will do just as well, a coat or two of oil before does well for both since the wax only seals, does not really soak in.

Shit. You can be rural without doing 2 hours of chores a day. My wife has some sort of special snowflake show chickens. And I'm getting half a dozen goats to reclaim some land. Chickens go out during the day and most always run inside the coop at night so you can keep them safe easily.

Hell the goats don't even need fed. Not until winter at least. And even then a $30 bale of hay is all they'd need. I put a camera on the chicken and goat waterers and flush them out every day or 2. Well water so why not.

It sounds like a lot i guess but we don't do shit. I work like 15 hours a day and my wife cant even get up for work. Forget about chores.

I just like to fire a 12 guage in a beer while drinking a beer and pissing off my front porch.

not only that, cancer is removable.
surgeries to remove tumors are identical to the butcher just chopping out the gross bits and leaving the rest intact, only more careful.

tumors are the result of the immune system being unable to keep up with the destruction of cancer cells--which have been growing inside of you ever since you were born.
"cancer" is essentially just a state that categorizes how healthy your immune system is... which is completely irrelevant to anyone who would eat your meat.

>>1609630
Those sorts of pallets are not the pallets you see for free, those are the pallets used in industry by warehouses and factories, places that deal with so many it is worth while to use better materials so they can be resused. The pallets we see on the street are made out of the bits of wood that are too short to sell or have a big knot in the middle, it is scrap wood and they make single use pallets out of it for all those businesses that do not get enough deliveries to warrant shipping them back, these are what we see on the street the vast majority of the time.

This wood is actually its own grade, it is pallet wood and you can buy it right from the mill all sized up for making your own pallets, it is one step up from scrap which goes to the chipper for landscaping or pulping.

A toy for my kid. Wood burned and not marketed. Heh. Used a standard saw, a bent coping saw, and a chisel a contractor left here. And it shows. But they love it. Might do another with an actual stencil/plan.

The first woodworking project I ever did was toy carbines for me and my younger brothers, nice effort anon. We played with them so much.

However, you should either spend more time sanding, or have a pair of tweezers at the ready, because those splinters, yikes! Unless your children have thick skin

Maybe he's widening his services from $70k aluminum to organic diving boards.

Either way, the client will be left the same - crippled and broke.

Basically made a papercraft mold and filled it with grout. Currently working on a giant hand to stick in the ground....for whatever reason.
