I'm looking for a router to grab free WiFi from nearby shop.
I have desktop PC and several wireless devices, in what mode should wifi work? Since I've heard regular repeater won't let me get internet from router via Ethernet cable.
So far I've heard of several types like: access point, access point client, repeater, bridge (in various modes).

Your question is worded very strangely. I think what you are asking is what router to buy to repeat the wifi connection to your other devices? You should get a wifi pineapple if it were me, i dont know of any other devices that have that kind of functionality supported or in mind when being used.

I need to boost wifi signal for laptop and phone, AND connect to PC via LAN cable.
Normal repeater mode does allow boosting wifi signal for local devices, but does not let desktop use Ethernet cable for wired transmission.
