Obv risky...

My parents house was on stumps and there was about .6m boards all around it with one pot with a big door to get under the house... Idk if you're residential but I'd thought about making a little hideaway camp there.

I hope you get through yu struggles alright mate.

Also op shop for some jumpers and blankets... If you ask and explain they might help for free..or give stuff that wasn't sell worthy...Maybe ask to volunteer...idk.

not too hard actually. u just need to be good at lock picking. you need a paper clip, and a tension wrench (can be found in home depot). make a slight upwards bend at the very end of the paperclip. (this method works for 98% of locks. insert wrench into the lower part of they keyhole. turn the wrench clockwise and then counter clockwise to figure out which way the key must turn. you'll feel which way is the correct one (the one that's most responsive). turn the wrench the correct way in the keyhole while applying some pressure. hold the wrench in place.while keeping the wrench in the keyhole, insert the clip into the top part of the keyhole. start feeling around the keyhole with the clip until you locate the pins. most keyholes have 5 pins in a row. keep pushing the paperclip upwards until you feel one of the pins unlock. (while holding the wrench in place). you might hear a faint click when it unlocks. start pushing all the pins upwards, (furthest away first). as you go, apply gradual pressure to the wrench. (either clockwise or anti clockwise depending on the keyhole). when you have pushed up all the pins, turn the wrench all the way around. (might need a lot of pressure). then the lock should pop open. Have fun.

Places to stay and to hang out at

Libraries
Some of them have private study rooms that you can use and some have a power outlet and/or network jack

Walmart
Most are open 24/7
Use to work at one that had a homeless employee living in the parking lot. During the winter he would sleep in the subway. The subway didn't have any type of door to get in or out.

Got a job or away to get money?
YMCA/Gyms, Some Gyms are 24/7
Get a membership, Take a shower, Workout. Keep clean so you won't stink and draw attention to yourself.

Coffee Shops and McDonalds that are open 24/7 inside (not drive thru)
Wifi, Coffee, Food, Bathrooms. In Japan 24/7 McDonalds are a hot spot for homeless people.

Parking Garages
Not must for warmth, but during warmer times it can be a nice place to chill during the night time if there are no guards or in a shitty part of a city.

If the city has buildings that are not in use, some of them will still have power. Mostly to keep lights on for the lower floors (mostly security reasons) or to have heat on so pipes wont freeze and bust. Problem with these type of buildings are homeless people, druggies, black people, etc. If you can find a building untouch, scope it out. Stay at the highest level you can get to. Have escape routes in case someone comes in and for emergencies such as fires.

Its rare for a business to install unpickable locks, but the locks they do install tend to be higher quality then your average residential ones. It'll take months of practice to be able to reliably defeat most locks you encounter, but it is possible and once you're trained it takes anywhere from 1-15 minutes to bust in. Biggest hurdle is getting a feel for it, second biggest is memorizing all the most popular locks and their pinsets and safety features.

Depends on the alarm system. Picking the lock shouldnt set it off in itself, because its pretty much indistinguishable from a key as far as the door is concerned. However, there may be an alarm set to go off if the door is opened without the alarm being deactivated first, shortly after, or during hours that are set by the owner. Just break into abandoned/vacant buildings if you need a place to sleep. They usually arent alarmed if there is nothing valuable inside and many of them need to keep the heat on to prevent pipes from bursting. Vacant buildings with plumbing is where i would be breaking into if i was homeless.

Actual Pentester here, literally never get to a point where I have to pick anything.
Not sure if this all crosses over to Europe or wherever you are op, but I bet it does.
For one, I dont recommend you do it, because the most important part is SE.
Getting into a building is baby tier. The two most common electronic entry systems are all keyed alike lol.
If that don't work, just use an under door attack, or even a latch bypass If they're a complete joke.
You don't need to get into the hardest building, just one of the many easy ones will do.
Shit, if you need inspiration, there was some college kids living in a maintenance room at a mall in Providence, Rhode Island for four years. They even fully decorated it as a home.

Also if you happen to be in America and are in need of a car, every Ford police and government vehicle from the 90s till 2011 use the same key.
Every single crown vic taxicab uses the same Ford 1284x key.
You just find them laying everywhere, some idiots even buy them and drive them. You can just walk up to their car, unlock the door, put the key in and drive away. It's a complete joke.

I was homeless for 3 years.

Do not break and enter, do not tresspass. Its not worth the personal injury risk. It's not worth the legal risk. Its not worth increasing the sociological stigma against homelessness which drives the 'haves' to draft legislation criminilizing homelessness and forcing police into a generally hostile attitude towards the have nots.

As for winter the secret is layers. Wicking base layers, insulating layers, and breathable membranes. Wet or moist clothing saps heat from you. Clothing that can't breath is wet clothing. Same goes for sleeping materials so don't sleep under plastic trash bags "to keep dry"

I slept through MANY -20f nights with even worse windchill in a cardboard box or two with everything from a decent sleeping bag, to newspaper and an ancient wool blanket. I was comfortable either way. Again, its all about moisture management. You may think you want a draft free windproof shelter. But that just means the warm moist air goes nowhere. Place small strategic holes on the sides near the top and ~1/3 of the way up to allow the warm moist air to rise and escape and the cool dry air to come in. Shelter your shelter against the wind by choosing your location carefully, ideally on the south side of a large structure.

Once youve got shelter and clothing covered. Now its time for hygeine. If you have hair, and you plan on keeping it, get a sturdy hair brush. Brush your hair every night and every morning for at least ten minutes. This will help keep your hair clean and free of oil, and debris like dirt, dust, grime, and dead skin cells.

Wash your clothes. This easier in the warmer months because its not freezing. But get them soaking wet and beat them clean. The mechanical action is what forces dirt and grime out. Wring them dry and hang out in the sun to dry. As for bathing, water, and some sort of scrubby will suffice if you cant get soap. As long as you can mechanically remove dirt and grime from your skin.

>> No.1485619

If I were to have slept out the open it would be a different story.

The three big factors or rules in staying warm are:
>get out of the wind
>stay dry
>insulate

I was warmer in my cardboard box with crumpled up newspaper and wool blanket than if I was laying in the corner of some abandoned house I broke into. The newspaper, blanket and cardboard box retained my heat and slowed the flow of heat from my body. Whereas just laying in a cold room there's only my clothing to keep me warm.

A few years ago when we were out camping in the back yard and doing father son bonding and teaching my boy survival skills I measured the temperature in a similar setup after buying a new fridge.

It was -15f outside and in the middle of the night with the wind howling, the airspace in the box above the blanket was 25f. Under the blanket in the leaves the thermocouple was reading 65f.

You're talking theorycraft with people who have actually done things, so try to listen for a second: car vs nothing, take the car. Your first 6 points are all correct. Your last three? Complete bunk. The condensation from your (sealed against the cold) car will do two things: it will make you stick out like a sore thumb compared to all the other cars with no one in them, and will also make it impossible to see out of the windows and drive away (not that you want to just drive off if a cop is knocking on your window). Your last point? You didn't listen to >>1487088 or didn't understand. Your outside temperature becomes your inside temperature minus windchill; it's almost like you're sleeping outdoors, with the added "bonus" that you're doing it in a big, heat sapping metal box. Crawling in a tent and burying the tent in snow may actually be better due to snow being a less efficient conductor.

I’ve had a pretty good track record of being homeless. All I had was my car, my laptop, and other random accessories and I’ve lived in office buildings for the span of about 2 years. The first place, which I had the keys too, lasted me about 3 months. It was an office for tenants which had a public kitchen and gym that I used. One day a woman walked in on me and I was arrested (‘Damn Bitch’). I tried again at another location, which again, I had the keys too. I lasted a whopping 6 months at this place sleeping in the gym that no one used. Again, a woman busted me, but I ran away before I could get arrested. The last spot I was at lasted a good four months and it was a big empty office. I loved this place because it was nice and warm and creepy because the real estate guys shut off the electricity (I had to turn it on manually everyday). I didn’t have the keys to this place, but it had the easiest to lockpick door I had ever run across and plenty of trees/brush to cover that I was breaking in. I was busted when my shit was found (I hid it in a bathroom) and whoever found it placed it outside the door I used to get in and he also installed a brand new padlock on said door. Now, I live with my parents. I can’t tell you how many close calls I had to getting discovered and the constant stress/duress of getting discovered was pretty overwhelming.

I've been practicing on a 7 pin residential lock on my own door, with a single pin pick, and with a rake. I cannot for the life of me get the damn thing open. I can hear at least 4 or 5 pins being set and that return when I drop tension. what am I doing wrong here? it feels like all the pins inside have been set, but they're not I guess.

>>1484750
hey, where would I be able to buy your pic related? even just FEO-K1 keys are expensive, and online what I've seen is they only come it sets of 15 or more. I don't want to drop 30 dollars when I only want one key.

>> No.1490436

>>1479321
It depends on the lock, I suggest you practice on a shitload of different individual locks first. If you have a good lockpick set, you could get through most locks. But novelty sets won't really get you far, they aren't very good on rusty locks and shit. You are better off getting a car or something, you can buy an old car for fairly cheap. older low end foreign cars are also really easy to break into Better yet, go to a hostel or local mission and get a job you bum.

Homeless tip, if you want to sleep and rest unbothered, sleep in places where other people don't go because they fear it. If you live in a city with a subway, you know where to go. Fair warning though, bring a knife and some candles, and if you think somethings wrong get out.

You’re right. I should watch every video that’s an hour in length ever posted because I have every faith that it will never be a waste of time.

You’re so self absorbed you don’t even understand from anyone else’s point of view that isn’t you, videos you post that you know the content of are just a random video to everyone else dipshit. Telling someone to read a thread because the information they posted is three posts above theirs when the post is a hour long video is retarded. Just like you.

The post you responded to had all the information summarized instead of expecting people to spend an hour of their lives watching a video and then crying when they don’t.

God people like you make these boards intolerable. Please walk in front of a train faggot.

You will be competing with Slavs and Mongoloids. If you actually speak French then you'd easily pass selection as long as your IQ is above 90 and your physical ability is up there (which for any normal person just requires regular training for a few months beforehand). Highly fit individual can breeze through the physical ability test.

Trouble with the FFL is that both its difficulty and elite status (it's not really an elite force, just a force that is more expendable) are overplayed. People get romantic notions about it, when in reality it's just like being a solider in any other army except with lots of corvée and, if you live in a Western nation, probably with worse perks than in your home country's military.

It depends on where you live.
If you live in the states then it's probably really easy, I hear loads of people use shitty kwiksets over there.
Europe on the other hand, yikes, assa locks as far as the eyes can see. I still haven't managed to pick the cheapest lock I found at the hardware store, the keyway is so narrow and it has security pins, which I don't have much experience with (only recently got started).
Don't actually break into places though. It's a bad idea.

FWIW I bought a $10 pick set on Amazon. Just a pick (zig zag shaped metal) and a tensioner (L shaped piece of metal). Watched a 2 minute vid. Picked my dead bolt first try in about 30 seconds. The trick is delicate turning pressure with tensioner and just feeling out each pin from front to back until you feel it stay put in turn groove.

As far as the homeless thing. A county jail has heat cable TV and 3 squares a day and is hands down better than freezing in the elements every night. Go vandalize something, turn yourself in, non felony, don't bail out, ask for a trial, ask for continuance at each appearance for legal preparation reasons. You could drag it on for years if you wanted. They'll give you time served in spring time warm weather.

Alarm systems typically have a delay zone. It is usually a door and the main one in which a homeowner or employee enters and exits their home or place of business. Opening the delay zone starts a countdown and most often bypasses interior zones (like motion sensors) so the user can walk freely to the keypad without immediately setting off the alarm. 45 to 60 seconds is typical, morons and the elderly like longer delays. Whatever the delay if the system isn't disarmed or disabled in that time the alarm will sound and the alarm panel will begin communication with a monitoring service. Over POTS this can take close to another full minute, via IP it's nearly instant.

If this is a business you will not be tracking down the exact closet or office their panel is located (especially if it's hidden above a drop ceiling somewhere), breaking into it, and powering it down before a signal gets through.

>>1490410
>hey, where would I be able to buy your pic related?

Pretty sure that's a slide from one if Deviant Ollem's talks.

Byebe2700 has the FEO-K1 on eBay for $9.99 shipped. $2 from some suppliers but you'll probably spend the other $7.99 in shipping.

EK333 $8.99 shipped on Amazon.

222343 seems to be $20 on eBay and Amazon both. $4 direct from Linear so it might be worth ordering just one set from them.

Sometimes you can call the companies and just say "Hey, I lost the keys to my filing cabinet, arcade cabinet, change machine, or whatever" and they'll send out a set no questions. Less likely for access and elevator keys, of course.

Im not going to keep on looking up all of these for you though, do your own homework and expect to spend a fair amount if you're trying to put together an identical setup. Buying individually assume $10/key on the low side, $20 on the high. Are you being ripped off? Yes. Alternative? Couldn't say.

>> No.1493749

>>1490410
There's a good chance you're oversetting pins. They're going to make an audible click upon releasing tension whether they were set correct or too high. Pick open a cheap padlock and leave the core turned, then feel out the key pins with your pick. Very low cut key pins probably wont move much to provide insight but the high cut pins being smaller will move a fair amount. It should give you a good idea of what a set pin is like, which is it feels like nearly nothing. They drop free without spring force behind them and raise up just the same. Feather light and only resists when it hits the driver pin (or the lock body in this case of the core already being turned). If you mistake it for a binding pin and push it further then you begin to overset.

>Im not going to keep on looking up all of these for you though

Not that I'd recommend a bobby pin, but a friend and I in high school got bored one week and tried picking the doors in our school with a broken off flat pen cap clip and either a bobby pin or a paper clip. Surprisingly easy to do on most doors. Exterior door locks are typically a bit better.

The condensation can be dealt with by wearing a respirator and running a hose out a hole in the floor boards. Theres creative ways to deal with the heat loss's too. One being taking full advantage of the generator and battery system attached to the engine. Rig up your clothes to be electrically heated, stow a couple extra batteries and set up a circuit to run off the batteries and heat your clothes. You'll never feel the bite of the cold, and you wont need mounds of blankets to insulate yourself with.

Innovate, you bum.

I know a guy who is homeless by choice. He works a night shift assembly job, 12 hour shifts. He picks up overtime shifts all the time. >Actual Pentester here

You mean wanabe who stole a slide off of youtube?
A real pentester would not be giving advise on how to illegaly enter buildings to someone with criminal intent.

Also you are off on some facts.

The kids you cited about living in the mall did not need to open any doors btw, they just needed to squeeze behind a pipe to find an empty room. They knew it was there because they lived nearby and kept track of the construction.

IDK if it is the case in the US but mandatory evac plans as the enterance of buildings/stairs make it a lot easier for something like this to happen or be noticed and prevented by the store. It also makes the live of a pentester/burglar a little easier. I guess this is the usual firesafety/security tradeoff.

Use to work at a Walmart that had a guy living in his car in the parking lot.

Short story of him
>Homeless, lived in walmart parking lot
>Got job at Subway
>Quit after getting hired at Walmart
>Use Walmart as his own house
>Managers didn't care about him
>He would stay in the break room at night and fuck around on his laptop
>Would sleep in the Subway at night (had no door or gate to close it off at night)
>Gets caught, told not to do it again
>Would nap in break room off and on and sleep in his car

Could not stand that guy. He would go on and on about his past life and how he was the victim of this, that, and so on. He would take Axe showers and use the handicap bathroom to take half ass baths. He smelled like shit most of the time and you can smell him as soon you walk past the break room. They had him working in the deli which made me sick thinking about it so I stop eating the food from there. Any money he did have he would spend on stupid shit such as pokemon cards, 3DS games, a laptop, and other junk. People got tired of his shit because he would flirt with any female there and asked them out. Girls from 16 and up. He did manage to get a girlfriend that was desperate and he just used her. He did get fired later on because he would run his mouth to coworkers, start a scene, and just start problems with everyone.
