i don't know how to search for it, some heavy duty springs and rubber belts? they need to push back up with some nice force for 10 ton bottle jack to reverse it and bring ~15kg up

well, try searching for "spring"?

the black rubber strap is a bungie cord or bungie strap. so, I anticipate your next question: search for "bungie cord", or "bungie strap".

(is this retard day or something)

If you’re gonna use it as a printing press just be aware it’s not great. But can hold you over till you can afford a real one.

It may not be clear, but these eye bolts are threaded (at least the ones on my identical press are). When you choose springs and hardware, be sure to provide a lot of adjustment so that the springs will easily retract the heavy jack when you open the release valve. I have to help mine a bit with some upward force from my hand, but once it is fully raised the springs keep it there because the eyebolts had enough adjustment. The main thing to get right is the length of the springs. If they are too long you might not be able to adjust them adequately. If they are too short they might be overstressed if you have to jack too far.

This is a good opportunity for me to ask what industrial presses use for the return stroke?

And is the stamping just the weight of the moveable part of the die?

Industrial die-cutting presses are mostly large bore size pneumatic "clicker" presses. They scale upwards to electric pump driven hydraulic presses but those are usually for packaging applications.

I'm using a 20-ton press for punching out foam and I really want a clicker press, but the prices on them are terrible.

heavy duty mech reporting in we use a 60 ton hydraulic press almost every day

Smash cool shit with it. Eeport back!

Why doesn't it return on its own? Not really familiar with this technology. Usually I just pump and go.
