I am thinking, could I drill them into the wood through a hole in the side of the cyclinder or would that ruin the structural integrity of the cyclinder? they are shitty aluminum ones, left over from an old project, they are simular to curtain rods I suppose. I was going to sharpen one end of them and make a godzilla spike shoe on a stick basically.

Also this is my first thread of this year I believe. I will take pictures to entertain you if you help me brain storm.

Apparently I'm I retard and you can do it with a pitch fork, but I want the cool dog poo-esque thatch pellets, I got a hacksaw, a vice, and some old shovel handles. I'll try and get the prep work done tonight and finish tomorrow.

I have a new plan, I am going to bore holes the size of the tubes through the wood, but slightlight smaller, then I will boil the piece of wood on my stove for a few hours, then hammer the tubes through with a mallet, and then attach it to the shovel handle. Thus attaching the tubes to the handle without welding.

We have our plan, I will start first thing in the morning, and will be sure the document the procedure.
