Not often I say it, but get a dremel (or wangs knockoff) with the necessary bits, bobs and grinding widgets
It will do most of what you need in terms of the cutting, forming and polishing on small bits of work.

Progressive grits of sandpaper till p2500 . Then you can get some polishing compound , put it on a piece of cloth and rub it
