otherwise i use wire cup on an angle grinder

Other guy is right, hammer finish rustoleum. I stripped it with dichloromethane based paint stripper, caustic soda was not good enough to eat the existing paint. Then hit it with a wire brush on a drill to get the stubborn bits, a single coat of rust inhibiting primer, then 3 light layers of hammer finish. Replaced all the screws with new ones, pretty fucking happy with the result.

Mine isn't even on that level, it was like $35. Interestingly it runs almost true with a diamond wheel 3D printed adapter, it's only with the stock stone grinding wheel on the stock mounting system that it rattles. I think the stones weren't centered properly in the first place.
