I have a 51hwc184a-1a "magic pak" V series.

Recently my heater will go to turn on but struggle to "click on" 3 or 4 times before turning off. If i move the thermostat to low then back to 75F (after the thermostat clicks on) it will work 2 or 4 cycles before having to adjust the thermostat again because it keeps doing the same thing.

Im not hvac expert but i did take a couple classes.

I suspect its the flame sensor but the flame sensor is so far back in the unit i cant reach it though that tiny door and could NEVER get a screw driver in there to get it out and clean it.

Is there a special way to get them out or am i fucked?

Its -11F here and im broke. I cant call a guy

Can anyone please help me with instructions on changing the flame sensor?

usually flame censors are 1 screw some can be a bitch but at worst you can get them out and clean them with some sand paper but anything to get it out works from pliers to very short nut driver even a small socket set works if you can get the right size on there
