So I have a job opportunity as a gutter installer. I did it before but as a helper for about 2 months. Thing is that I will be on my own, except for the first few days. She's defiantly going to give me a shot. But it can be difficult to initially hang a long gutter solo.

Any advice you can give me? Techniques? I'm not sure if I should back out or give it a shot.

Advice on hanging long gutters?
If its too long to hold just one end then hold it in the middle.
The end with the pipe needs to be lower than the other end

Sure, you are not going to make much as an installer. It's a basic job that can be handled by just about anyone, and your pay will reflect that.
Best advice is to learn the process (if this takes longer than a year, quit) get some contacts, then purchase your own seamless gutter machine and truck. This is the best possible outcome for a budding "gutter installer".

I wouldnt buy that shit. you could take a coat hanger and bend a piece of metal into that same shape and a loop for a screw. you dont need this "professional tool" to just HOLD one end up as you fasten the other. hell you could even use a piece of copper wire scrap that you might find on the jobsite. fuck paying for lazy devices like this. this is DIY bitch!

Keep a few tubes of gutter sealant to hand. If you mess up your first few jobs and things aren't 100% aligned, you can fix a lot of things with that instead of redoing everything.
