My past 4 months:

Art exhibit using overhead projectors.
Art residency in NY where I built a new type of video synthesizer.
Went to Moogfest and 1st place in the circuit bending challenge.
Got evicted and found a new place the same day in a city with zero vacancies.
Maker Faire.
Bike Rave
Was in a documentary.
Was invited to show off my inventions at this pretty big and important science center.
Moved (All with a bike trailer)
Girlfriend moved in with me.

Also I have a 50 hour a week day job where I got a raise and bonus.

Living in a small place is fine. It's just that hipsters seem to think that spending twice as much for a microscopic house makes them spiritual in some way.

If I were to live my life again I'd keep my high-paying job long enough to do what this guy did (pic). He owns most of an island in Washington state, makes great money doing custom woodworking, and collects this sort of Ford truck that was made before and after WW2. His threads about trying to restore these heaps of junk are awesome.
