Got this at a discount, it's in fine shape. Kiln dried redwood. 23 8' 2x4x, 8 10' 4x4s and only 4 8' 2x6s. What should I do with it?

And no, I don't need a deck.

I was originally going to make planter boxes, but I'd rather have something wider and or thinner for that.

Don't cover up that pretty wood with carpet.

Make a bike frame then make some wooden wheels. Use rope as your chain. Brakes can be standard metal and plastic.

Gonna try to make this bow as a summer project, using just hand tools because I live in a tight-packed metropolis where the idea of owning a house on the ground with room for a garage is something only the hyper-rich can consider. Any pointers for someone completely new to bowyering?

Make a laminate bow instead.. Fiber glass backed. Its more forgiving and unlike full wood. The bow wont get as much memory or set. And become weaker over time. The fiberglass resist this. Also it prevents blowout on the back of the bow. Also beginner friendly.

And buy arrows, making arrows "fletching" is in a skill of itself.

Head to a woodworking forum. Ask for someone local to you, and just ask if they could rip a few 1/8" thick boards of the wood of your choice.

And if you don't have clamps.. Ask them to rip some pvc pipe and slice it up to make pvc pipe clamps.

From there its titebond 3 or polyurethane resin. For gluing. And you're ready for shaping. Also doing it this way you can do everything in one day and not worry about the wood warping on you.
