I bought a house 2 years ago and not one week goes by without picking up 2 or 3 of these and flushing them down the toilet.

It's starting to drive me crazy because I have OCD and hate germs as it is.

How the fuck can I get rid of these without hiring an exterminator and spending hundreds?

I read the DOA created a pheromone to bait traps a few months ago and emailed them asking to buy some thinking I can just put it in centers of glue traps and empty those about once a month instead of constantly picking up these fucking bugs, But they never emailed me back or contacted me.

I don't get any other bugs in my house (including ants) but the house is lousy with these stink bugs.

I live near a swampy area but there is no mold or any type of water damage or anything. The house was inspected 2 years ago and I have yet to see the water level rise even remotely close to the foundation

I sprayed my house with shit loads of poison last summer and fall and they haven't been back. Yet.

What kinda poison? It seems all the store bought ones are not strong enough, An I don't own a farm so I can't get the agricultural poisons the farm supply place sells

Burn your house down

Pretty sure this is some sort of tree aphid here op. I see these at times outside.

Bet you $1,000 you got fucking monkey trees hanging over your house like i do.

Start feeding the birds. Chuck bird seed all over your roof. Some birds eat them.

>> No.1135345

I hope they crawl into your nose when you sleep.

There aren't any trees hanging over my roof, But there are a lot of trees on my property. I don't think any monkey trees though

I will throw birdseed on the roof though, But that might cause another squirrel problem

That's an easy problem

>> No.1135428

just put them outside, they don't bite or really cause any other issues besides being annoying

I've got the exact same problem in my countryside house. Locals have told me they feed off tree sap and are globally harmless, but those fuckers are stupid and it gets annoying having to pick a couple up every day. Ive been attracting plenty of birds with seed but the problem as yet to alleviate.

Theyre stink bugs

Everyone here has these inside this year.

Use a light box with a funnel on top. Basically just a cardboard box with a light inside and a paper funnel set into it. The insects go into it at night and you toss them out in the morning. It also works for those asian lady beetles.

It's not the bugs. It's you.

Get a cat. My cat loves to eat them, at least until he actually tastes it, lol. But he does a good

I'll try this.

I have a cat, She just stares at them until I notice and then I pick them up and flush them

She doesn't eat bugs or mice or anything, She's a lazy house cat

>> No.1135972

jesus those are stinkbugs. not germbugs. the do stink like shit when you step on one in the shower.

go to hardware store and buy home defense or whatever pesicide. consider buying a better sprayer. watch youtube video on spraying the outside of house with pesticides. spray ground gutters windows where pipes come in. repeat in 6 months. eventually it will resolve itself but its a continual process and certainly worse for you than germs

and they don't even stink unless you crush them.

Maybe you smoke or just hard of smelling.

They'll fart when threatened. They're all over here in WI. I know their smell well.

Ortho home defense works very well. I'll second this.

I don't use it anymore, but when I did, it did the job.

Shitty thing is that house centipedes (the only bug killer you really need) don't fuck with these things. I'm bug free except a once/week stinkbug walking across my kitchen ceiling.
