You might want to consider not using wax on the handle.
I somehow started running across lots of old hand tools over the past couple of years that needed some TLC but were still perfectly good. Through reading and personal experience i've come to the conclusion that using linseed oil on wooden handles is the way to go. It seems to condition the wood really well, makes it really nice to look at, and is really easy to maintain since you just rub more in when you are taking care of your tools. That's just my 2 cents op but then i've never gotten the results I'd hoped for from the different waxes and sealers I've tried over the years at least when it comes to something that endures the amount of punishment and general use as my digging and chopping tools. Good luck op you did a nice job on the handle.

you need to know how to do something that people are willing to pay you to do. Sounds simple but really OP that's pretty much it. And even if you are the average 4chan teenager good luck. If you don't know anything special I recommend you go to your local library and wander around until you find a book that describes an activity that you think is the neatest thing ever then go over to the section where they have books with titles about starting a business and get one of those too. Most importantly don't listen to anyone who tells you that you shouldn't start doing your own thing as a business all those people work for someone else and hate their lives.

Is it really that easy? All the ones I've seen use a different method where you heat the file to soften it, shape, then temper it. What are the pros and cons of these two methods?
