New tools look new in pics taken of said tools when they were new.

Picrel is always good for a laugh, I could’ve had everything on this list if I wanted it. He had mad tools before but this was at the end after the alcoholism got worse and worse. I kick myself for not grabbing the Fluke stuff and a vac pump and good set of gauges. Dude mailed me a bunch of DeWalt 18V tools that I sold for $100, pretty sure it cost more than that to ship them to me.

Pipefitter’s union gave me like $1500 tho.

I got depressed yesterday looking at the list of shit I could’ve had when my dad died a few years back. He had way more like 5 years before. Should’ve flown to CO and rented a van back, coulda sold a couple specialy things to cover the cost.

In all fairness, they spend $$$$ shipping me like 500lbs worth of hand tools and DeWalt 18V tools, so at least dudes got some free Flukes for dealing with that guy the last couple years.

I feel slightly rekt right now.

>trying to clear off old photos from iCloud
>old man died a few years back, everything was getting relayed from his boss in Colorado to my sister in Chicago to me in Florida
>sister asks me if I want the tools, wasn’t super concerned with that at the time and I said I’ll take the hand tools I could use around the garage
>a couple months later, get boxes full of Craftsman sockets and DeWalt 18V stuff which was outdated with shitty batteries anyway
>knew there had to be some Flukes and stuff back there in CO, but dude paid out of his pocket to UPS like 200lbs of hand tools to me so I wasn’t going to complain
>plus I asked for the hand tools anyway, I don’t really blame these guys for thinking they could get more use out of the Fluke 87 than this guy’s kid they never met
I just saw this list for the first time and actually looked at it. What pisses me off is they sent me a bunch of fish tapes, but not a multimeter. I probably would’ve driven to CO to grab all this shit if I really knew what was in there, I could’ve sold off a few specialty things to cover the cost of gas.
