/diy/ is confirmed for being fucking amateur hour. I didn't make this thread at all to ask questions I didn't know the answers to. I made this thread to test /diy/ to see if you fags know anything about it. It seems you don't know shit about shit. Not surprising.

Hell, not one single person stated the glaring obvious. Resistance. Yeah, resistance. you need resistance to properly make and use an electromagnet. Otherwise, it'll be a very quick electromagnet. And, that isn't even the first and only mistake, holy shit.
