It's amazing what you can make with a pullsaw, power drill, and a palm sander. I gave this all a worn metal faux finish afterwards. The holes are made with one of those cheap stamped metal hole cutting sets like you use for installing locksets in doors.

Pull saws are really nice, they let you cut pine more cleanly and with less effort. I've acquired a lot more tools in the meantime, but it's amazing what you can do with just a few.
