Actually, a container could be good starting material for an underground bunker. First, have a look at how Colin Furze built his bunker (pic related). He basically built a container on site, and put lots of concrete around it. This you can also do with a container. Dig a hole which is 1-2ft bigger than the container in all dimensions. Cast a foundation, set container on it. Put in horizontal pillars to support the walls, cast concrete in the gaps between the container and the hole, rebar material would be nice as well. Reorient inside pillars to vertical to support the ceiling. Put some I-beams on top from side to side. Cast a solid ceiling with concrete, also with rebar material in addition to the I-beams. If the concrete is cured solid, you should be able to remove the inside pillars and have an underground shipping container which is pretty solid.
