>decide to clean out the brass sponge that came with my soldering station
>crack it open over a trash can
>a fuck ton of brown-ish powder pours out as soon as the lid comes off
is this normal?? i looked at the bottom of the brass and saw a small piece of what looked like an actual sponge (like the dishwashing kind) stuck to the brass
weirder still was that there were almost no solderballs to clean out, since it looked like all of the solder had soldified onto the sponge rather than falling out into the bottom of the cup.
