So a relative died, and left me $20k. I want to make more money from this but i know its not a lot. I was looking into whole selling. I have had limited experience with it when i was younger and it was successful until the supplier screwed me.

What would be a good thing to deal do you think? Obviously looking for the best margins, i was thinking perhaps Ipad cases as they are trending recently.

I know 'find a niche' and all that but that would be great if it were easy. Im not looking for new day job just some extra cash on the side.

Do we have any Carbon Fibre-rers?

I am about to embark on a project, i wont go into details just yet as i plan to make a big build thread here and im hoping it will be epic.

I need to make a case out of carbon fibre, its going to be a slim box in two parts, 4 walls and floor that will attach to a top.

I have been looking around for information on Carbon Fibre but i cant find anything similar to what i want to do with it so i come to you, my fellow /diy/nosaurs.

My questions:

1. How many Layers should if i were making a case similar to a camera

2. I need about 1sq/m of fibre per layer (5ft-sih) so how much epoxy should i buy?

3. I have seen speak of "cooking" the fibre on stronger structures like bicycle frames, would this be necessary?

4. How would i go about cutting it after it was made to make small holes? For instance, do i need to worry about jagged edges if i dont use the right tools? WIll a dermal do?

5. Would it be safe to assume it has the same consistency (if not stronger) as a plastic laptop case? As in, if i need to drill a series of small holes for sound to pass through it wouldnt become too week?

I have some more research to do so in the meantime i will be using a name so you can identify me.
