>I'll need some smaller ones if I want to get to making things like cabinets or whatever.

I posted these in another thread: first planes I have ever made. They're ugly because they were prototypes and I didn't have a tap for the brass screws I had in the shop, but they're made from scrap rosewood and bloodwood, brass and 80CrV2 I had laying around.

I'm putting brass foots on the "Phase 2" models, which include 10 mm and 20 mm flat bottoms, 10 mm and 20 mm convex bottoms, and a 10 mm concave bottom along with a 10 and 20 mm "rake" iron set.

Using these to make a fiddle as a "rainy day" project when my real business stuff is curing/tempering/drying and I want to keep busy.

"Fuck that, I can make my own."

Made two prototype with what I had laying around. Flatten the bottoms with sandpaper on a precision ground steel plate. The screw and the frog are ugly as sin, an eyesore to be corrected in the final models, but I like the rest of the outcome.
