What happened to the guy who was making improvements for the MK3S/MMU2S? You still around? I recently got back into printing with it after a while and serviced it, and... It's still kind of finicky at times. Wondering if you have any tips to share.

Holy shit, is this thing pissing me off. I can't believe they thought the chimney and IR sensor was the best choice for this, it's the single least reliable thing I've ever had to fucking work with. Not only are my bearings somehow slightly elliptical, which makes the door wobble, but the sensitivity means I have basically .5mm or less to work with where the IR sensor is either always on or always off.

Fuck.

I know there was a guy who was making an "expanded" MMU2S who (I think) was also working on getting better filament detection for the IR probe on the extruder. Any progress on that? Flexible filament is proving to be a real pain in the ass due to the thing being simultaneously too sensitive and not sensitive enough.

Yes, that is correct, I have 5 colors. I also have an MMU2. The colours on the left side are after I have assigned all 5 extruders and tried to color-match; right side is just a new instance of Slic3r where I couldn't be bothered to color-match the output.
