You clothing, fabric covered furniture, stuffing in furniture, any pets, any you track inside, and of course from your skin. You are breathing in a cornucopia of dead skin and microfibers. I suggest using an air filter system with your heating/cooling system(s). If you can't do that then make one.

activated carbon is expensive because making it correctly is expensive. making it at home just means you end up with more carcinogenic compounds than ever in your water

Note that a fan sucking air across a filter will perform better than one trying to blow through a filter.

Old people often have lots of books which have that smell. My library smells like that every time I open the door.

Every time someone gives me home baked goods, I can "taste" their house. If they are a smoker, a plug-in air freshener user, Febreze user, etc, I can literally taste it. Same goes when they have a black mold problem. It is terrible. Only like 2 people out of 50 have given me food they made at home that actually tasted 100% like food without some weird lingering flavor due to the smell of their houses. Oddly enough both are gay men.

>These AC units just recirculate the air already in the room. what you are trying to do is completely unnecessary.

Wait, really? How come I can feel air blowing out the back? Any diagrams to illustrate how these work?

Yeah, that does sound like a mold problem. I have the same problem. It doesn't even need to be visible. It can just be everywhere on the surfaces growing and you only really notice it when you wipe a cloth across a surface. I get this in my house in the summer. Then again I live in a temperate rainforest and it get humid as balls and mold will cover everything if you don't clean constantly. Even your clothing, bed mattress, and blankets/pillows will get it. If you have carpeting, well I'm sorry to hear that, I hope you have your last will and testament done.

Use a dehumidifier/window AC/air filter.

Got an issue with dust at home. Just cleaning doesn't seem to do anything unless I go through the whole place every other day.
So either I'm retarded at cleaning or I need a better solution than vacuum + damp cloth.

Was thinking of making pic related, but filters cost like 50 a piece here.
Anyone got suggestions?

How would I go about making this? Is it literally just a fan with 2 vents arranged in a triangle shape or is there more too it than this?

Also, why does it say "Not available in the UK"?

in the scheme of things hair is easy to filter out, it's big... it's the tiny sub micron dust thats hard to get.
