I mostly use 75Ω TV cable. It is cheaper, has lower loss and is better shielded than RG58. If you connect a 75Ω load to a 50Ω source you can expect a VSWR of 75/50 or 3/2 = 1.5, a loss of 4 % or about 1/30 of an S unit.

Why LSB? Everybody else uses USB on the 10 m band. For historical reasons the rule is to use LSB below 9 MHz and USB above 9 MHz.

The usual indoor digital fog. What about a closed loop antenna that has no open hi-Z ends like a dipole?
