>i can compile a list of some patterns later if you'd like, if you are going to the craft store try looking for something with natural fibres for wearable projects because acrylic yarn is really suffocating and can be itchy or it can be really soft it's a gambe. I made some handwarmers with acrylic yarn and they had me sweating in freezing temperatures
Thanks for this tip! Although I'm pretty sure there's navy blue in the yarn product family I've been using which is all natural but I'll be sure to check next time I go buy those!!!
>Now for the hats, what style are you thinking? I've made a few beanies and there are some that are worked in the round like amigurumi and some where you just make a rectangle and sew it together (these can look good if you only work in one loop of the stitch so it looks ribbed like knit)
A beanie is probably the safest option. I'd love to make some cat or bear ears on his beanie but I know he'd never ever use it if I did that... So I'd say a round amigurumi-esque beanie is the thing I'll be making and it has to be navy blue apparently so yeah that's pretty much it! But if you have some pattern links I'd def be interested!
