Two aluminium wires, usually untied from an old transmission line.
1 span into your hand, 2 span out.
Your picture shows the wrong way of holding wires, that's why you all think it doesn't work, because you create to much friction for a wire to spin free. Let a wire rest on your bent pointing finger and lower part of your palm, your fist doesn't have to be closed. All you need is skin contact and friction free wires. Hold both close to each other, like 1 span apart
Why ppl find gas pipes under ground? because usually a copper wire is laid on top of it for devices to find.
I haven't red all the thread, but 200 indicated serious misunderstanding.
Second misunderstanding: "I tried, it doesn't work.", it doesn;t work for me too, buddy, even radio goes shhh when I come close. I work with my uncle, dude is just like a fucking electromagnetic radar. We often get called to redo couplings (sleeves, or how it's called in English). Turn up in ladies garden, lady doesn't know shit where anything is underground. Never missed a cable. Error margin - max 1 meter. Yes, sometimes you can guess where to look, but when some drunken soviet electrician made a curve to the house and uncle says it's a curve, because two wires showed him, and I dig old cable out and my trench is actually a curve almost around the house, you better believe two wires work. He has harder time with water inlets and sewage pipes.
Fucking electromagnetism, ayy m8! I believe this thread is filled with office workers, denying anything.
