The Fed knows it basically can't raise interest rates past 3.3 for the next 5 years without putting the Zoomers on their ass and pricing the millennials out of the oncoming dead boomer market tsunmai (we're already seeing it- parents die, and their kids make 400% on their parent's 2002-built house in a matter of days.) The banks own every single politician local and federal, and they are the ones paying the news sites to publish stories about how low interest rates are and how you need to take advantage. The 2008 regulations will prevent 2008 from happening again, at least in the areas of the country that matter (northeast, southwest, and west coast - nobody cares about flyover country.)
